It's the one used in my endgame grenade veteran guide, the first version correct! :) It's what i prefer but not a "make or break" by any stretch of the imagination, what makes "grenade veteran" is bolt pistol + lethal proximity + grenade tinkerer, that is the foundation for grenade veteran, then anything goes, obviously there is some objectiveness to what's good but everyone has playstyle differences, To maximise grenades you want 1 or both of 2 things on weapon blessings, rending + damage whether that's uncanny strike or opportunist combining with lacerate/flesh tearer or slaughterer for IE. Power sword just does so much brute force damage it can give up one of those and still perform the best, blessings like decimator, headtaker, slaughterer etc improve ALL damage types including grenade explosion + bleed damage, i prefer the knife for mobility and keeping bleed uptime as that's how i choose to maximise dps and with my playstyle i like mobility, I hope that answers your question amgio ! Power sword would become too strong of a competitor to the dueling sword and Fat Shark won't allow that

Not at all, consider the "explosion radius increases by 25%" as an extra talent point, it is active at ALL times! I believe so, i think reciprocity is great and if you want to play more into that i definitely recommend it, my problem is, bleed cannot crit, and the VAST majority of this grenade veterans damage comes via aoe bleed, it will help and feel nice on the melee weapons, but you have so much damage already a few extra crits doesn't add much compared to the raw survivability this build has due to perma stamina, If you like reciprocity, i suggest taking a look at my big game hunter build, i have a few builds there that take reciprocity, To give an example when i was running a riposte/desperado, reciprocity crit knife build had 70% + crit, after a 35-40 minute Havoc40 game ~11% of my total damage procs were crits, with 50% crit ~8% of my total damage procs were crits, and lastly if you check my recent community posts where i got havoc 40 this week with 20% crit in my build i crit for 1.1% of all damage procs, crit is powerful, crit is great, just not on this build in my opinion there are better ways to ramp your bleed damage, i apologise for the long response but i hope that answers your question ! I have and if you like it, i definitely recommend it, i used it with uncanny strike, i just prefer keeping the uptime on bleed as the damage it does stacks quite quickly both in literal stacks and in damage :)

Preference, knife is still the mobility king, and i most definitely do not spec my whole tree around it? I'm speccing around mobility and grenades, because grenade veteran is not a crit build, even with riposte, reciprocity AND desperado, more or less crit maxing on veteran, i crit for 8-11% of all total damage ticks, Remember this is an AOE bleed build, and bleed CANNOT crit, after hundreds of hours of specifically grenade vet, i'm not sold on crit AT ALL, the build has more than enough damage so i'd rather tech into mobility, because as you see in the video i can sprint spam everywhere, DS and left side of WS tree cannot do this, If i wanted damage i'd just go the power sword as well it does far more than the DS ever could in havoc 40 :) Don't get baited by crit on an aoe bleed build when most of your damage cannot crit! You can also check my 3rd most recent post in the community tab, with 20% crit, 1.1% of my total damage ticks crit, NOT WORTH!!!

On nexus mods there is a Health bars mod, and i just apply it to specials/elites ! If you're on PC i recommend looking up Briggso's mod installation guide! God bless :)

All my havocs are public havocs my friend, i might invite an extra friend or two here and there but it's always on the havoc terminal first! I would honestly just block those people, that is just a wild reaction over a talent node in a game, that is the sad reality, Even in games without another vet with survivalist, i run fire team quite often, at the end of the day like i said, block them, move on, and let your skill speak for itself, if you're struggling than that's one thing, it's ok to humble yourself, there is definitely times where i'm playing bad and i go to more of a team build, Do check out my community post though, this weeks reset i used a survivalist set up, give that a try, you can also get rid of fully loaded + superiority complex in that set up for twinblast and field improv if you prefer that, you can always take my original build which has all the grenade tech + survivalist and is definitely the best place to start for grenade vet it's simple and effective A good way you can also get around this, is like i said i host my own havocs almost all the time, so if they have a problem i just kick them, cause it's my assignments anyway, but again since i'm hosting 40s i have never had that problem, i've proven myself already if that makes sense, so i apologise i cannot fully relate, but i would react as i said above, don't stress, laugh it off cause its ridiculous lmao, and host your own games so it's your rules! @@Ragehaven HAHAHA it's ok my friend as i've said before, we all start as a reject in a prison cell, there was a time not so long ago i didn't know all medicae stations didn't have 4 charges :') LMAO i definitely feel that, i myself definitely have my moments too where you just have to facepalm and think what tf am i doing! A recommendation i have for the human size classes, try the dueling sword mark 5, take damage dump stat, take uncanny + agile, and carapace + flak/unyielding, it's unique in that it has BOTH mobility and defence as a stat on a dueling sword, and just go around sliding/dodging heavy attacking everything, or heavy + special to stagger big boys, or Heavy, Heavy, light, Heavy, in my opinion it is THE SAFEST weapon in the entire game, having constant max dodges is not to be underestimated! It definitely does not have as much damage as the mark 4 dueling sword, and requires a bit more skill, but with a bit of practice i definitely think it's a great weapon to try, i much prefer it over the ds4 personally

@Big-Dom I did wonder why the duelling sword was so popular. I tent to play veteran and go full buff route to help my team out armed with a bolt pistol and chain sword or duelling sword. @@Ragehaven The mark 4 specifically is what is popular cause it hits hard as hell for single targets and it's very easy, the mark 5 is not so popular but i believe it's because they haven't tried the full mobility, agile DS5, definitely doesn't have as much damage, but still more than enough and well you can never get hit cause dodges give i-frames! And don't stress grenade veteran is not a meta build, but i'm here with the numbers and gameplay to show that it deserves to be! The meta always changes sometimes it just takes someone to show the way! My pleasure! And savage sweeps does not, grenades already have true infinite cleave, the plasma is popular cause of how HIGH it's cleave is, but grenades have infinite cleave, as long as the grenade can draw line of sight to the enemy and they are within range it doesn't matter if there is 10,100 or 1000 they will all bleed, so 0 effect there, rampage does but the buffs last too little to care and the DS is not a horde killer your grenades are, i recommend uncanny strike + thrust or uncanny strike + agile, rampage is just competing for what the grenades already do 100x better so it would be redundant in a grenade vet build :)

It can seem very counter intuitive, but i'm of the opinion that mobility is the most important stat, that's not to say ONLY build around it, but the difference those 2 nodes make is night and day for mobility but also the push attack on some weapons, It has so many applications as well, stamina breaks while rezing a teammate? It's ok cause you will regain stamina before the next attack so you can just rez anyway, more dps like i said with push attacks, perma stamina to reposition, in a clutch situation being able to loop with 100% constant stamina makes it much easier to lead the horde away then come back for a rez, Focus target + target down, does achieve a similar effect but not as strong, it's caveat is that it works for the team, but the stam delay nodes + duck n dive are much stronger from a self POV Thank you for the comment and support amigo, i appreciate your time! Surgical is just far, far too slow in a havoc 40 environment, You also have to remember the entire point of this build is aoe bleed, and bleed cannot crit like soulblaze and burning, chucking a grenade or 2 then using the BP/knife to max bleed stack (16) priority targets is much quicker/easier and higher dps There is just little to no reason to go crit on this build truthfully, even on a 55% crit build on average 8-11% of ALL damage are crits in a 35+ minute game, you gain far more consistent damage in just raw damage ramp, and in this case retaining high bleed stacks also counts as raw damage ramp, I hope that answered your question my friend ! But yeh thats essentially it, the VAST majority of your damage comes from grenades (duh on grenade veteran) and since they cannot crit, i really do not find a reason to go crit, doesn't mean you cannot go a reciprocity/desperado build, but i don't think it's BiS (best in slot) for bleed/grenade vet

The grind is real !

Less enemies than histg, but still auric maelstrom amount of enemies, vent purge is simply low visibility foggy effect :) I wouldn't worry about the numbers of that scoreboard mod too much, it gets broken in true solo i mostly press tab simply to show it's the same auric maelstrom at the start of the edit, it more so comes from just speed running the map, in a couple of days i have my true solo playlist coming out, which will have the uncut versions, even in havoc 40 true solo my recordings are only 8-10 minutes :) In saying this as well to rememdy the scoreboard if you check my community tab i have a new scoreboard mod installed that works much better! Ie. i kill a bon in the video but have 0 bosses killed in the scoreboard.

Both truthfully i would say far more party finder for sure, but for example the game shown here we're all on each others friends list but we all joined through party finder :) i recommend just adding some people you get along with and at a similar skill level, most of my DT buds were met through havoc ironically enough, just meeting them through party finder, having a good game with them, now we just jam some games if it lines up ! i'd say 80% of my total games are pubs/party finder, the other 20% i have a bunch of dt mates already on and just send invites to see who wants to play :) Good luck in your havoc journey my friend ! Any melee weapon works really, the most important things are grenade tinkerer + bolt pistols lethal proximity, the chain axe/dueling sword both work more than fine, power sword, shovel, shockmaul, are other good recommendations, ideally you're looking for rending + damage blessings, not all work with grenades but most do, on the chain axe i recommend opportunist + slaughterer/bloodletter, opportunist will give rending to the bleed as long as they remain staggered, and slaughterer improves bleed damage as well ! Good luck amigo :)

Not really to be honest, because at lower difficulties the enemy has less hp, but your shredders still do the same damage, and they are still highly effective in havoc 40, so you end up just deleting everything still, the trick is using shredders sparingly when there isn't an elite/special wave, grenade vet does require practice to get better at it, you need to learn good grenade economy if that makes sense at all levels of difficulty, think of grenade veteran as miracle rogue from hearthstone tcg early on, the more set up and preparation you give it the better it will carry you, if you use your combo cards badly you will probably flop, ammo crates, redstims, 4 grenades in pocket etc is your set up, get used to playing around demo stockpile to eat up a free grenade constantly ! In lower difficulties grenades just straight up delete anything not a crusher lmao :') I appreciate your comment and support though amigo ! @@Big-Dom Thanks so much! I sometimes take a "vacation" in regular Damnation when I just wanna chill. So I was slightly worried of the lack of demo-team procs. Learning grenade economy I think will be a big learning curve, because on Psyker and Zealot, I don't think about it at all. However, that'll hopefully make the "shout bot" feel of vet a bit more engaging. How has lacerate felt? I feel like the counter argument is always: "you should be hitting heads" but is the reality of hectic games, often not being able to? Appreciate your answer, looking forward to seeing more of your content in the future! PS: Love the miracle rogue reference/analogy. I played a good amount of that and Storm in M:TG.

@ Yeh i feel you amigo no stress there! I very much do the same and use auric as my "vacation" ! And no need to worry, i think you'll get the hang of it, but again grenade vet does do better the higher the intensity 100% The easiest tip is always try to play around 3 grenades and demo stock pile, a free grenade every 60 seconds to help thin patrols does help, you never want to engage a patrol/horde without at least one grenade, and don't be afraid to pick up grenades in your run, +4 shredders is no joke I don't run crit often, and bleed cannot crit like soulblaze and burning, so after a bunch of testing just like you said, i crit rarely cause most of the damage is in aoe bleed, and even when i do go a crit set up, bleed doesn't use weakspot to calculate damage it uses the torso, and again like you said in the hecticness of a game, you hit far less heads than you think, if you do have crit in your build flesh tearer is definitely better, but again i often don't have more than 20-25% so i stick with lacerate to keep bleed uptime And i'm glad you get that reference it will make the transition to grenade vet much easier ! Always get stuck into combat, make sure you have the coherency aura on alot, the biggest thing is making sure you have your allies helping you proc them, like i said it requires practice and set up to understand when to "farm" your grenades, and when to go "all in" and delete that gunner pack, in most if not all of my games i BY FAR have the most ranged elite kills as you should with grenade vet, it is still your job to handle ranged units + specials you just do it with grenades + melee ! The shredder 100% has more aoe, but the krak grenade has more single target damage, consider the krak grenade the boss killing grenade, and unfortunately no, at this point ONLY the bolt pistol has lethal proximity, bolt pistol + lethal proximity and grenade tinkerer is very much a "must" to maximise grenade veteran, that is not to say sprinkling in some extra grenade flavour into a build won't work but you will definitely see and feel the difference between not having bolt pistol and having it, i hope that answered your questions ! In saying that you can replace puncture on the bolt pistol for surgical or go for a weapon specialist build (check out my big game hunter build video) and fine tune to your liking, crit bolt pistol plays much closer to that "sharpshooting/gunslinging veteran" Take care and good luck ! @@othmanalmesbah5257 by itself yeh it kind of is usually you kill 1-2 IF YOU'RE LUCKY you can kill 3 per krak grenade, with lethal proximity bolt pistol you can kill 3-5 consistently up to 6 if you're lucky, which is a massive difference! If you want some builds for big armoured targets i recommend my new "big game hunter" video it has a power sword + bolt pistol and a krak grenade variant specifically for the new ogryn "Walking Giant" modifier but also works really really well in havoc 40 ! :) Kraks are not bad, shredders are just much better, also because you can stack uncanny on your melee to make them decent at armour, but again for your specific problem i recommend giving that video a watch it should sort you out, Good luck in your Veteran journey! @@othmanalmesbah5257 That's more than fine that is what my videos are for, to provide a foundation then i encourage people to tune it to their liking if needed :) this video carries by keeping team strength as high as possible at all times, the "end game build" is designed to be as strong as possible in clutch or true solo situations where less damage is important and more stamina/mobility shines, if you want pure damage then i would probably recommend the focus target + shredder power sword combo in "big game hunter" that or weapon specialist, they so far have given the biggest damage numbers but again it depends on what your definition of "carry" is each build is stronger and weaker for different things :) kraks would be fun and good, but shredders are the best and meta in terms of grenades, all builds are carry builds however you SHOULD be 1st if not second in damage charts in every game , it just depends on the build/map/ai director etc

At the moment not from myself, nothing to add onto what is already out there, if you're looking for a havoc build i recommend tanner lindbergs havoc zealot build that will set you up for all difficulties, although in future i will look into other classes for some fun things for sure ! :) Thank you for the comment and support amigo ! Glad you been enjoying it my friend ! The Kraks definitely feel much better in the ogryn modifier ! In case you didn't know the Bolt pistol lethal proximity aoe also works for the kraks ! you can kill up to 5/6 ogryn enemies in a single krak grenade if you can set up the right choke point !
