She pronounces words weird to sound cute and adds vocals when completely unnecessary. She sounds like a sexy toddler. The days of singers coming from the church or backups for other singers are gone. All we have now are singers who all sound the same and gain fame from 30-second renditions of bad songs online.

R&B music has definitely taken a turn…. I’m not gonna say this was bad like others here. SZA has her own style…. But to categorize her vocals in the same realm as say, a Jazmine Sullivan or something… I’m not sure people’s ears are working properly lol. Then again, all these young folks think whatever they’re hearing is perfect as long as the beat is dope so 🤷🏽‍♂️. Maybe that’s why older folks don’t really care too much for these types of vocals cause honestly, anyone can replicate these vocals with a good mic and a computer. She was such a dope artist but that girl couldn’t match up ‘VOCALLY’ with the vocal greats of her time.
