Reminder - you not only need to hit the button with the screwdriver - you also must pull up on the adjustment side bar to get the seat to release!

If you placed it 4 hours ago, and selected the thicker back pad option, this newer pad is what you will get - we've been shipping chairs with them for a few days now already :)

Appreciate your comments - I don't disagree, I thought the original was pretty comfy, but it was definitely a bit thicker than what we intended, so and we are very happy with the updated redesign :)

Good video but if your cylinder is stuck (like mine was) you can always take the chair seat off, remove the plastic bits and knock it thru from the other side. Mine was not for budging and removing it that way finally worked!

Thanks for bringing this up! After checking with our customer service team, we can confirm that all of our Haworth chairs come from returned orders directly from Haworth. Here's how pricing works: If a customer originally purchased a chair at full price, we apply our 35% discount to that price. However, if the chair was purchased from Haworth at a discounted price, we apply the same 35% discount to the lower price. Since we base all our pricing on what we receive from Haworth, that's why two identical chairs might have different prices.

Hope that clip at the top is strong enough if leaning back and not breaking (thinking if you lean back the back rest will flex if your shoulders press back so the hook will have the pressure lower down on the thin plastic)

Having to remove the cylinder without a pipe wrench was the most frustrating and miserable experience ever...Used other wrenches and both hammers and it took me over an hour and the cylinder is absolutely destroyed.

I've tried this method repeatedly (gradually screwing in both directions!) but it's made no difference at all, my chair still sinks when sat on. I notice the cylinder is also very close to the floor as well, don't know whether this is part of the issue? Is it time for a new cylinder I wonder, and if so, can I replace it myself?

Sorry we do not have OEM headrests available for purchase, also if your chair doesn't have it natively then adding one requires drilling holes in the back. We will be offering soon the Atlas/Crandall Leap v2 headrest on our website.

I bought a chair from you last friday and saw the option for the Bioknit Diamond, but honestly I just don't like how the pattern looks, so I just went with the regular 3DBioknit. Edit: Maybe if it was all just one color, the pattern would be less noticeable from afar and I would like it more.

Both lol It is the most breathable as far as universal fabric that can be applied to the seat and back. We do have the 3D bioknit but that can only be on the back.

tnx for the video. I just used it to fix my armrests creaking video, by taking them out and lubing properly the upper inside of the tubes and the plastic parts that go arround the armrests themselves. Creaking solved :)

Does the standard Steelcase Leap v2 have any metal in the build? What is the base made of? Unless I missed it, Steelcase's site doesn't seem to provide this info.

There is definitely metal in the core of the chair and the bases can be metal but also are mostly plastic. There is metal in the casters, arms and seat mechanism.

Do you guys check the chairs for defects before shipping them to customers? If a customer receives a defective chair, can it be returned for a refund, would it be replaced, or would you send out a replacement part? I was considering buying a Fern from Crandall because they're much cheaper than buying new. But I've seen a lot of people complain about the build quality, and I'm wondering if they're returning defective chairs that Haworth is reselling.

We do a full inspection of each chair. If there is any defect as far as functionality they are not sold. There may be minor scratches due to shipping or that happened when the previous haworth customer had it but the chair will work as it should before it is listed on the website. If a chair arrives functionally defective we will replace that part that is defective so that you can get up and running again quickly.
