So the headrest can never be fully removed without potentially harming the chair. The metal piece that holds the headrest will still be there and really the only thing that can be removed is the headrest pad.

@@CrandallOfficeFurniture I do not understand. it's not metal, and the arm of the headrest is attached to the chair with four screws that can be opened from the hole in the back. I have only a problem removing the plastic part from the stem. the one that is not attached to it with screws . height adjustment lock part

@@KristopherTran I put a narrow pillow up inside the backrest which helped the seat comfort with the headrest. but yes, the headrest can be removed nicely if you cut the fabric hole a little wider and sew/put fabric tape on it. every seamstress in the village can have it neatly patched up if you don't want to sew yourself.

@@fudeboii I managed to take off the headrest. No need to cut any fabric. Taking off the 4 screws was the most annoying part. The head rest mount can go through the fabric if you stretch it a bit
