This was the first live band that I had ever seen in Petaluma in 1994 at the age of 15. True story. I think it’s why I love the bass so much.

My many favourite moments of this glorious piece of MTV history 0:29 Layne gives band statement 1:31 & 2:50 Jerry's seal noises 3:00 Riki encourages Layne to do some illegal fishing 4:56 Riki ecstatic at Mike's prediction of death 6:06 Layne bouncing in his tube tower 6:39 Sean and Mike start rolling Layne into the water, random guy in yellow board shorts joins in 8:20 Layne comes screaming down the waterslide and a full moon appears during daytime 9:44 Riki reports on mass drownings in the pool 10:19 "I just got hooked! What are you talking about?" 12:16 & 12:20 Layne being cute as hell with his flippers 15:06 Jerry unintentionally supporting the rumours that groupie spread about him 17:20 Jerry solemnly informs viewers he's going to rip Riki a new one 20:39 Riki does a very bouncy body slam 24:27 & 25:05 & 25:34 Layne being adorable again while cameraman fishing 32:22 Sean's Schwarzenegger story

Layne was one of the most distinctive voices in rock..it saddens me that I would never have recognized this as being his vocals.

######03/07/2023@9:08 PM EST----Nitrous is venom from a snake bite, the real reason Layne dies not feel good. A whippet is a red snake, who is on the higher end on the scale of insanity-- It's crazy, but true, snakes shed their skins to change their id, as in their color and pattern, so they can hide from a potential enemy, mostly cats-----I have a feeling in this particular case, they are hiding from Layne, after they bit him, a hit and run!, so to speak-🐶 That way, with a new look, the powers that be could claim that whippets have gone into extinction when there is an uprising, as the snakes become unidentifiable. Such is true when it comes to reptiles,, bugs, sea serpents, and what knot!, and it really is one, one of the largest knots you will ever find==conspiracy in extreme form--🐶 "The question is Sean K., why do layne and jerry have to speak in code?. And more often than knot, in opposite format .""--🐶 I have a feeling Sean K. is behind the camera, when he is not in front of one. Now, that explains my question, but only partially🐕 ""I aint done with you yet, Sean K., Your friend, Sparkles" ♠###

Although Layne's voice (and himself) is a far cry of what it once was, knowing Layne's normal voice and his biography, this version (of his voice) fits the music and the clip pretty much, it's haunted just like it was his existence at the time for everybody who would catch a sign of him in the streets, losing his life away for the addiction.

I mean not that I don’t agree with you guys that this isn’t the most impressive vocal feet, to his credit this isn’t a song that allows for Layne to really show his range. Now obviously we all know he wasn’t in shape to do anything ground breaking at this time. Either like it or don’t. Not gonna cause him any difference.

i think he was super self conscious of himself at this time, so it’s likely he wouldn’t have wanted current footage in the video. he was self conscious about the taping of unplugged

i would love to see an AIC video were people were commenting things i didn’t know about their personalities and endearing stories such as time they spent with them, concerts they went to, etc. that would be so much more enlightening vs. every video I watch people are commenting the same comments on addiction and so called “facts” they know nothing about because they weren’t there and so much hearsay has become “fact”. Layne Staley and Mike Starr were so much more than what everyone has tagged them to be. It makes me sick and sad that the same people who claim how much they love Layne/Mike will sit and continue the cycle of defamation.

Okay, so at 7:02 Riki appears to be in first place, but then, right as they reach down to the bottom, Jerry was the one who is in first place, so the true answer to who was the one in first place, still remains a mystery, but it’s probably Jerry because he was the first one to get up or something
