FINALLY I get to see Roman Glick jam on the guitar (and harmonica). I had heard he switched from guitar to bass for Brother Cane when their bassist here quit after the 1st album. Eventually they disbanded and he joined Jackyl right after Tom Bettini quit, and has been with them for over 20 years now, as Jackyl continues going strong.

I walked 2 miles through a raging snowstorm in Ottawa , 1994? to see Brother Cane at a small club. I got to the club, and the place was locked up, show cancelled ..because of the storm.. so disappointed. One of my favorite bands

This stuff is sick! Please somebody make rock like this again! This is vastly superior to the crap you hear on classic rock radio.
@LogoAttitude Жыл бұрын
I've heard Brother Cane on a classic rock station in my area, but only on Saturday nights which were exclusively requests, and the DJ who was willing to play Brother Cane is no longer at that station. Saturday nights are still requests, but they have no host and most of what you hear on Saturday nights are now songs already in heavy rotation the rest of the week.

Saw these guys back in the day at a small venue in Columbia, SC. They killed it. The whole first album is SOLID. The second album isn’t too bad, either.

I loved Brother Cane. They were a throwback to the '70's southern rock bands.

I wouldn't call them a throw back: I'd call them genuine southern rock.

Saw Brother Cane in Austin, TX up close @ Antone's. They kicked ass. Damon was a killer frontman. I saw him a few ears also in his newer band opening up for Judas Priest w/ some of the boys from Thin Lizzy.

Had only heard Breadmaker and Fools Shine On when I saw them open for Van Halen in '95. Immediately proceeded to buy both albums and Wishpool when it came out. Amazing that EVERY SINGLE SONG they made is on my full time playlist. Okay, I might skip Eugenia every few times but absolutely all the others kick doors down and blow out windows every time they're played. Loved DJ's acoustic Brother Cane CD, live youtube acoustic songs and everything since but still doesn't bring the vibe that the original Brother Cane songs do. Keep rockin DJ!!! Thanks for the music!!! Oh and thanks heaps Redrumrocker for posting this for our enjoyment!!!

I know the feeling, I was playing in band in Houston, and it seems like every time we played on a Friday night at a club caLed the after dark club, the DJ would announce over and over that the next night Pantera would be there and if I remember correctly it was 21 and over free, and everyone else it was $5, I don’t know why I never went to see them.
