My son is a 2027 grad. What advice do you have for him with this new ruling That came out a few days ago. How will that affect him going to a 4-year school directly out of high school?
@RecruitingWithAlex5 күн бұрын
JUCO needs to be considered along with looking at D3 and D2 schools.

Hey Alex, I was wondering if you could make a video regarding the recent NCAA ruling about JUCO years not counting toward eligibility. Does this apply to baseball?
@athaler738911 күн бұрын
My son is a sophomore, two-way lefty. Doesn't light up a radar gun but has a high strike, low BB percentage. He's been told by former Major and current Minor league players he'll have "opportunities" at the next level. Gym rat, health nut, coaches love him, but way too modest and humble to promote himself. An admirable personality trait, not a baseball deficiency, could be his Achilles heel when it comes to those "opportunities". Thanks Alex for driving these points home in your videos.

It’s blessing a blessing to be humble and want to compete and get better. There is a right way to market yourself and still be humble. Thanks for sharing. Your son sounds like he has a bright future.

Hi everyone. Hope you watched Alex’s helpful recruiting video. As a family that is currently going through the college baseball recruiting process with Alex, I can say that enlisting the help of someone like Alex is essential. I would recommend him to anyone looking for an edge. Good luck! Mike

Hi Alex, great video and advice as usual! Watch your videos all the time. Quick question...my son started posting to his social media last year and has gotten traction from it. Would you recommend starting a KZbin channel as well with his training and highlight videos to share with college coaches?
@RecruitingWithAlex11 күн бұрын
Great question. Yes, having a youtube channel with easy to click links for college coaches to view is a good strategy. Not everyone is on social media so when we send video to coaches having an easy link to view is a plus.

Why do a lot of the recruits never show up? If LSU has 18 recruits does that mean they signed? Or the class of 25 signs next year?

Correct, most of the time it means they signed.

Hey coach currently I’m a sophomore in high school and I want to play at a ivy/T15 school (Stanford,UCLA etc). I have strong enough academics but in the area I live in academically the high schools are not strong so I elected to go to an online high school to strengthen my academics. Due to this I can’t play regular high school baseball. Do you have any tips to strengthen my athletic profile?

I’ll sum it up for everyone. It depends. I hope that helps. PG has stat tracking you can upload videos. Colleges save time and money by looking at video. College camps? It depends. Most just do it to make some money. Recruiting sites? They can be helpful. Good news there are plenty of options but everyone is out to make a dollar in this industry so be careful.

@RecruitingWithAlexАй бұрын
Send your recruiting video to schools that could be a good fit for you athletically and academically. Then consider a camp or two to go too get directly in front of the coaches.
@Jbzero9992 ай бұрын
My son goes to a small private school. Not super competitive athletically, very strong academically. We kind of NEED travel baseball to get him games at a higher level, and develop. Unless there's a better way.
@RecruitingWithAlex2 ай бұрын
From a developmental purpose it may make sense but private lessons will likely be better unless you have a good coach. From a recruiting purpose it’s not a good route for most.

Seems to me that Transfer Portal has created a "Ready now" environment. Coaches don't have the luxury to develop young Highschool players. For most student athletes to keep the dream alive the best route is Juco to grow, mature and develop for a couple of years. Then enter Transfer Portal and gove it your last best shot!
