I understand Camps with game settings, what about camps in the midwest during the late fall or winter that have to have them indoor?

Coach, if you get time take a look at my most recent video of my son from this past season and give me your feedback if you think he legitimately has a shot at scholarship. We’re in rural PA and the closest D2 college is 2 1/2 hours away. Sorry I don’t have a 60 second recruiting video of him. His biggest strengths are leadership on field and intelligence during games; neither of which can be measured by catching stats. Thank you.

It's great video but he looks pretty average for any normal varsity player. His opponents didn't look significantly better or worse either. College guys are dudes now and even JUCO has a ton of dudes throwing heat and hitting the ball a lot harder and further. There are metrics, 60 time, arm velo, exit velo, etc. to meet to even be looked at by D1 and then scale from there, if he's not meeting those metrics then a lot more work needs to be put in. D1 is essentially single A and indy baseball now as MLB and MiLB scaled back and bumped all those dudes down with less draft picks. imo NAIA or community college is his best bet. This is where baseball camps are great is to see competition outside of his area to really compare himself to where he is at and needs to be.
