Way too many bugs at the moment. I have invested heavily in 2020 and 2024 has a long way to go before it is stable. I will put it aside and come back in a few months.

I got no idea why you think you fly a FBW A321???🙄 You don't fly a A320, it's a A321 you choose! I recommend you to study the different names, and then you also make a mess with an A320 and A321. In the MSFS Sim are no FBW included. Go to a website calls FBW, and you can download for free the FBW A320, A380, and I guess maybe you'll find A330. You see it also by the name of the aircraft. An A320 FBW calls A32NX, A38NX ....GOOD MORNING!!! Maybe I made a mes, but you talk about so many things like A320, Fenix, FBW, but you've chosen an A321.

I have given up on 2024, still after 1 week i still have not been able to get into the sim bar 1 time yesterday, Microsft should be ashamed of this release, after 4 years of doing a fantastic job developing 2020 into a great sim this appears to be a rush job to me

Im only a sim pilot. Ive been into flight sim since mid 90s. Have logged thousands of hours over the years. The world looks fantastic. And I heard another say for flight simmers we would see huge improvement in flight model and aircraft physics. That the "gamers" would find difficult. But im assuming one could crank up your aircraft realism settings for sim pilots and the "gamers" can GTA thier aircraft. 😂 I was never into heavies myself. Only GA aircraft. And the occasional lear jet. Favorites being the Cessna 310, the 414A, the Kodiak, Beechcraft V35, the Baron, and my new favorite the Duke both versions. I think after watching this, I might hold short a few months, and stick with 2020 for now. The UI you mentioned being one of them. But i have no doubt the sim as a whole will be improved. But to see this and remember how it was in mid 90s. Ice and fire.

You mean when you get into a real jet you can’t just press CNTRL-E to automatically start and set everything? That explains why I got kicked out of flight school, real life just isn’t as realistic as the SIM

Does anyone know if the 2024 version now has Karnak temple and the other important VFR sights that make VFR so interesting? Or is it just a revamped MSFS 2020 with just the pyramids and nothing much new to see?

Beautiful looking sim, but the requirement for an internet connection is absurd. Won't be buying this one.

I think the photogrammetry looks worse than 2020, there's awful pop in as it tries to load in detail as you fly over it, they've somehow made the ground assets look worse than before (try flying over London) . All that building pop in is horrendous and some of the ground textures don't even bother loading. It's real PS1 in some places. I was disappointed to see the old MSFS2020 method of rendering bridges as solid walls was alive and well, and notably, the Bing Maps data for many areas is still several years out of date. I'm playing XBOX X too and the game needs months of development or just throw it in a canal and have done with it. (imagine the poor bstds that had to pay for that). 😞

Does this airplane have dynamic wing flex?

Not a very honest review at all in my opinion, based on my own experiences trying to play the game. Less than a minute spent talking about, and ZERO seconds of video showing the absolutely disastrous state of the game. You didn't show anything negative. No planes sticking out of buildings, no trees growing out of buildings, no Minecraft-looking scenery, no aircraft without engine sounds, no endless loading screens, no bad ATC calls, no awful UI experiences trying to map controls, no red "error guy" at character creation etc. It looks like you played a completely different version of the game than I did. I'm assuming that you must live in an area with much better internet services, or closer Azure servers than I have, because I'm guessing most of my problems are down to the streaming. So maybe you didn't experience some of these things, but I still feel like you overlooked a lot of other negative things here. I think the career mode is a major disappointment. It was my single most requested feature for 20 years, and now that it is here, it feels too annoying to even make me want to play it.

Does anyone else use this addon in FS2024? I have a clicking or clacking noise all the time. Does anyone know anything about it?

When the autopilot is put into managed setting. It shows 3 dashes and 1 dot. When put into a morse code translator it shows as " Ø ". that has a meaning of null. So when put into managed setting does it mean null or I'm just an idiot.....???

Proberly one of the few bigger project games that recieve a 'overwhelmingly negative' recommendation based the reviews on Steam. I got my copy refunded, but perhaps I will buy again after the bugs have been ironed out and if a offline option becomes available.

The big problem with the server issues is, that it also destroys downloading, and buing in MSFS 2020. Can't buy a plane. No contact with the server. It sucks.

Thank you Captain for the time spent putting this video together. I like a propeller so when you said the "bush flying" is for me so when I get my new M2 drive in the mail today, off we go. I'm sure the developers and 3rd party developers are working tirelessly to get all the kinks out and 2024 will only get better. 100% agree with the menu design - esp the controls menu... it's harder to use, looks worse, and OMG... hunting down and removing all the default bindings that are interfering w flying... as far as FM goes - it does feel like your flying at 1.4x speed at any given time with regards to twitchiness / lightness of feel. One of the issues in 2020, is most aircraft defaulted to 50% fuel and virtually no payload, so the aircraft was much lighter than how you'd typically fly IRL.

This streaming this is utterly useless, where is the download option? Even just let me download large areas ahead of time or something. Disappointment of the decade :(

The fact that I stupidly paid $300 to be held hostage by microsofts shit house servers from DAY ONE shows how much of a risk your taking buying it. Ie things are onky going to get worse the older it gets and eventually they will just shut the servers down with zero ability to play the $300 game i and many others wasted our hard earned cash on

For me? The latest edition of the FI Supermarine works flawlessly in FS2024! I still am able to enjoy it to the fullest :D I also Thank You for All of your FS videos for these past four years and, I for one, am certainly looking forward to you next vedeos with the new Simulator. A nice review, though i think it is not entirely fair to not address the crippling server issues because "a lot of people have already commented". Its a deep and core feature of the game, and 6 hours and 3 days later I still have only got past the loading screen once, for the game to crash before aircraft gauges even started to load.

I can't even get my Joystick to work! It's a Microsoft sidewinder FFB2, It should be plug and play and not 2 hours trying to set it up and force it to work FFS! Total Dum dum from Asobo, They had better patch it asap, What a let down. I'm going back to 2020 untill they sort this farce of a sim out.

Just a tip for any beginners: One thing I noticed (a little late) when doing the checkrides and missions in career mode in the 172, is that doing the Ctrl + E startup does not automatically change the fuel selector position from the left tank (where it is on default upon entering the plane) to both. I figured that out the hard way on a relatively long ferry mission when I suddenly got a left fuel tank "low fuel" warning annunciation. Now I make sure to remember to manually move it to the "both" position prior to engine start.

The thing I hate most about MSFS2024 is figuring out all the new ways I need to avoid touching my keyboard ever.

Thank you for pointing out the importance of the slight (correct and reasonable) bias towards the pure simmer. I have utterly zero interest in spending time creating avatars and such like, which tend to appeal to the console folks and/or kids. I don’t spend £3k on a PC to run the latest sim to then have to spend time choosing which ruddy coat to wear! 😡
