This is really nice Joey, I also enjoyed the shunting operations, and good overall control of the locomotive for slower speeds, a very good railway .

These are great little wagons and many narrow gauge railways used at least some of them. The Binnie kits are excellent quality and deservedly popular. I use cyano glue to fix the axle-boxes in place, as per Mr Binnie’s instructions. They’re nylon and the usual poly glues don’t hold so well on them. Mr Binnie knows his materials. His advice is worth following.

Music to my ears. Be warned, however. The price of everything, including coal and food, is rising. One day, the railway might be nothing more than a distant memory. The Days of Steam are on the edge of disappearing forever. Let's hope you haven't yet seen the steam engines for the very last time.

I don't do watching from the lineside, except for the crane perhaps. I prefer to see the KZbinr riding the rails all day, changing trains as they choose. Nice collection of steamies in any case, great mix of railway companies including my favourite, God's Wonderful Railway. Which Big Four railway company is your favourite, if you have one?😂🙃

That's good to hear Nigel. My Hunslet is now currently in the queue for an upgrade to a Maxi to allow more performance when running. It might result in a possible conversion into a tender loco to accommodate the bigger electronics.

I've always been fascinated by steam engines but I'm defiantly no expert, I have wanted to purchase one for a long time but I'm a bit put of by the complexity compared to electric rc which is my current hobby. This is a beautiful machine, I love how all the moving drive parts(gears etc.) are exposed, love the brass and metal parts unlike the mostly plastic rc today. Is this by any chance a beginner friendly machine for someone new to steam engines? And if so when you purchase one does it come with a manual to guide you.
@dankerthanclanker4 жыл бұрын
Yes, it is beginner friendly, but for the price I would recommend saving the extra £250 and buying a Roundhouse Engineering locomotive. Mamod's build quality is questionable, I myself have had a number of issues with the Brunel. This includes leaking gas fittings and the pressure gauge pipe falling off. However, these are easy engines to work on, and it's difficult to make mistakes with them. You can't mess up the timings on them, they're set.
@astrochaos41822 жыл бұрын

I would say for that video, use SudrianAfro's Rusty theme cover. He did a Season 1/2 cover and the original Season 4 version as well. Difference is the S1/2 is obviously in the style of S1/2 instruments, proper synths.
