I really liked the typewritter business you mentioned about your grandfather.

I am doing a 70 G20. I would like to get some more information on your 4x4 conversion if you would share. I have a Red-E-Kamp conversion that is straight as an arrow and deserves to be on the road. Thanks. Mr.S

I had the same van back in the 70's. My friends and I called her the crippler due to the fact if you get in a head on even if your legs will get mangled even if your doing like 30 miles an hour. Looks good and drive safe.

I bought Amend 2 mags a few years ago. Out of 6 mags, about 3 have issues with the feed lips. Like, they have hairline cracks allowing rounds to just fall out. They're outta commission now.

What exactly is an overlander? Doesn't everything with wheels go over land?

I would have stayed with the inline 6 and a granny gear ⚙️ manual transmission. Excellent build ❤ though 😊

I would of put a inline 292 in it, not enough power a cheap fab turbo system with 5 psi and wala 400 ftb torque at low rpm. Swap the TH350 for a TR4050 wala granny gear and OD invicible! 3:73 gears FTW! Awesome van regardless!
@machinesincАй бұрын
@@shyecjj brand new V8 was cheaper than a China turbo at the time haha

Vans are my 1st choice do everything vehicle. You’ve made a gem here. It is almost as nice as an Econoline from early 60’s looks.

8:19 your neighbor's fault because everyone builds houses from thin paper sheets. I'm from germany and even if a grenade will explode outside next to my living room... I would not realize it, because our homes are made from massive bricks 😅

I had a 67 108 that I put in a 340ish HP 3970010 4 bolt main 350 and I dropped it in thru the top. All I had to do is unpin the stop on the passenger door. I used a 2:73 69 Impala rear end and Turbo 350 trans. I made the throttle cable for it and it was 11 feet long. It would tow anything, and got 19 mpg on the freeway. I miss that thing, and wish I would have kept it to tow my 16 foot cargo trailer conversion, but now have a 03 Tahoe Z71 5.3, and love it.

Wife and I love road tripping! I'm originally from California but now live in Virginia where my wife is from. We've been across the country many times, using the old route systems. Always tent camp along the way. We have a Jeep and a Dodge truck but have dreamed about building a overland rig. You've done a spectacular job on yours! That's the coolest looking van I've ever seen! BTW, what state are you in there? Looks like Wyoming, Montana, maybe Idaho? Great states, all of them! Loved camping there. The scenery and wildlife is unmatched. Happy trails to you!

Oh man.... Had a 65 in my early twenties around 1984 for a couple years that I lifted, put a set of meats on, and painted with imron paint, full custom interior.... Had a hundred vehicles since including lots of oldies, but that's the one I always wish I had kept forever.... Back then they were everywhere ama I would say now that they may be one of the most difficult to find rigs on the planet.
