That's a shame - maybe the glue you used wasn't the same type, or not set properly with UV? I've heard from a few other people that it worked for them too. Mine still looks perfect, prior to that fix I was annoyed by the chip for years!

@GadgetUK16422 сағат бұрын
Assuming you have a Famicom (not a clone) - it sounds like the 500 in 1 cartridge has a fault... You could try cleaning the cartridge gold contacts with a cotton bud and some IPA.

Just picked one of these up, brand new, for £39 !! There's one seller on eBay who does these for - seemingly - random prices, I've seen everything from £45 to £79 (all on the same seller's eBay) he's got a few on at the moment (at the time of this post) starting at £45, I was 100% sure it would be a rip-off Chinese copy when it arrived, but was surprised it was legit, haven't got a clue how he's knocking them out for under £50 when they're £250-ish everywhere else, but get them while you can !

Really great to see those ISP devices programmed! I picked up Lattice data books, built a similar adapter on bakelite but never got the software to work. Even went as far as to code my own for the state machine. Nothing worked! Then recently found one pre-programmed for the GBA in an online store so snagged it, still waiting to try. Those old chips are a lot of work.

Thanks for this. Really helpful. How do you add a middle name to Adsense? When I go into Adsense account info, there is only a panel for first name and last name?

@GadgetUK1648 күн бұрын
@@travelguy8431 Sorry, my mistake! I think spelling of names has to be the same for first and last. It's easy to accidentally use a short version of first name in one place and not in another - and that seems to cause issue.

The resistor you measure at 6:08 is actually a 470Kohm resistor which connects the output of the rectifier to the base of the power transistor BU508AF. In my case this resistor had failed and was an open circuit. When I replaced it the PSU started to "tick" again, which is the audible switching noise you were missing, and 5v and +/-12v reappeared at the output.

I like that they have made it somewhat configurable. It reminds me of my modded zipstik I made when I was a teen, that had switches mounted on the front too, although for different functions. I think this would be a good candidate to mod too, it's quite chunky and spacious inside. The zipstik has less space inside and isn't as sturdy in terms of the plastic. Although I do still prefer the zipstik I think 🙂

It is a great stick, I love mine. NB the switch on the right-hand fire button is not auto-fire, it is to select between that button being a second button or another first button.

@GadgetUK16415 күн бұрын
It could be a bad laser, or needing adjustment! But it could also be a fault on the main board - eg. The h-bridge driver IC! Check your PSU board is providing the correct voltages.

hey nice video, any ideas on an issue I have with a speccy +2A/B it plays many games fine but some which are compatible with +2A like Magicland Dizzy do not play and just crash after starting the game. I suspect RAM may be an issue so Ive ordered some new RAM chips to try. Any ideas what it could be? thanks

Most probably RAM! Some older 48K games need to be loaded from 48K basic. You can get "test carts" for the Speccy that will test the RAM - check out places like Byte Delight. www.bytedelight.com/?product_cat=zxdiagcarts
