Thank you for you answer. I think im going to change all belts on 170k. I change oil usualy on 10k. Motul specific 5w30 .If you think on beter oil please advise. Thanks again.

Motul is a good one, stick with it. One of my friends use only Motul because the engine in his Subaru (which is oposit(boxer) type of the engine and they wears down faster then "normal" engine) consume this oil less then even original "Subaru engine oil".

Every 150 000 km or 6 years according to some manuals. From experience it's better to look at this stuff at 90 000-100 000 km or max 120 000 km

@cedomirfilipovic3113 From experience it's better to start looking at this things at 90 000-100 000 km or max 120 000 km. And yes I admid that the oil pump belt was not bad at this mileage but anyhow ruber and oil dont like each other that much so the change has been made and it was already 200 000 km so another 120 000km with this belt is a littel bit to risky. But i have seen 400 000km on the oil pump belt. I think the longevity of this kind of "in oil belts" also depends on the engine oil change which is better to do every 7 000-10 000 km.

Camshaft sprocket bolt: Fiat-120Nm, Opel-150Nm . Crankshaft sprocket bolt: Fiat-230 Nm, Opel-50Nm + turn 90°degrees. 😉

Good video well done. I've never had an issue with these belts, some customers cars 500km+ on original belt and still looks new. Have replaced plenty of the crank seals though...

No it has smell of the burnt sugar from the exhaust pipes. And one of my friends have now a problem with coolant blowing out of the expansion tank on Passat b8 and most likely 90% its a blown gasket .

And one more thing water pump in this engine has a flat ring which covers impeller in the right moment and makes the engine warm up faster, but sometimes it stuck in this position which causes engine overheat or coolant is blowing out of the expansion tank. (Engine not overheats very fast because it has two additional electro water pumps so coolant still can circulate .) My disappearing coolant turned out to be the charge cooler leaking inside the intake manifold on my 2.0tdi caddy mk4. Thought it was head gasket at first.

I think probobly its because all of that heat that the engine gets from the exaust, turbo, dpf, egr, intake manifold, and maybe the it is overheated constantly because of all that cr##p, specialy in regions where is not very cold. Or maybe I don't know why VAG is that way nowadays, because 2.0 tdi ea189 was perfect imho.

VW T5 1.9. Been to 5 different garages it’s had camshaft sensor, relay, abs sensor and loads more but the engine seems to stall after about 20 minutes and then won’t start again without some easy start and that only lasts about 5 minutes. Help!!

It was OEM. I had no experience with Vaico parts but I heard that they are like 50/50 good. From other brands maybe elring. And it's not very often i have to replace valve covers and if i do, almost all of them was OEM but not always new.

Because I bought a Continental set, the upper two markings on the belt were good, but the lower line was very far away! Everything was pinned and fixed. The car is going! Well in my case it was original Renault belt kit so everything was aligned with those marks on the belt if I remember it correctly🤔. Anyway, if the cam and crank were locked, this paint lines on the belt not matters, I have changed some belts from other manufacturers and they do not have a mark for the crankshaft gear at all.

@@HintSlice Yes, I thought the crankshaft was locked down, so it must be good! I put it back together with the new belt as it was. The car runs perfectly! Did anyone else start smelling an alarming amount engine oil smell in the cabin periodically during regens around when they noticed their injector seals were leaking? Also, I have heard using OBD11 or VCDS you bleed the injectors by just activating the lift pump for a few seconds. Can anyone confirm this?

Yes use vcds. It only my gues but when injector seals are leaking then maybe valve cover gasket is leaking also so oil from under the valve cover gasket is draining in the back of the engine where is the hotest parts are located such as: turbo, dpf, egr all that staff make that oil (wich is hot also) evaporate and you have that smell

very detailed video. I have replaced the high pressure pump and since then the engine light has been on. the car revs up to 4000 rpm. as soon as I press the pedal while in motion, there is an error. the full power of the engine is not possible. maybe the garage didn't install the right pump.

Hi. Everything is just exatly as it shown in the video. Caution 22:27. Yes left them tight and I know you have to loose them but till this day this engine runs perfect (belive me or not) and have no problem on timing or wasser pump side, with this kind of timing belt replacement.

If the belt is fitted too far in on the diesel pump, can it rub against the engine block?

Note that the timing belt tensioner has flanges that center the belt, and even if you install the belt too far on one of the sprocket, the flanges on the tensioner should center the timing belt when you turn the engine. So I don't think it could be rubbing against the block, unless I don't know what....

Do you need to rev the engine after replacing the fuel filter? And is it critical to get out all the air from the outgoing fuel line from fuel filter? I imagine that would be quit hard if not impossible to do, since even by pumping fuel into it, you only push the air bubble further along and not replace it with diesel. What is the tolerance for air bubbles of the fuel system, do you know that? Thanks for the video, you were the only person I could find that showed the fuel filter replacement for a Mazda 6 GH.

after replacement and bleeding air from the filter as it shown in the video there will be very small amount of air in the fuel system nothing to worry about [ what is shown in this video is exactly what I did during the replacement of this filter ] then you can start the engine [ and press gas pedal when starting the engine so the traped air gone faster ]. 1 fill the filter with fuel 2 install filter in place 3 pump more fuel in to the filter until the clean fuel without air will flow 4 additionally you can pump in fuel in to the supply line hose. 5 put suply line hose in place on to the filter 6 Pray (additionally) 7 Press gas pedal and start the engine

Nieczęsto muszę wymieniać łańcuch w Hondach, więc w zasadzie radziłbym zastosować oryginalny zestaw, ale wszystko zależy od jego ceny i dostępności. Jeśli wybierzesz innych producentów, może to być HEPU, BGA, FAI, MOTIVE . Łańcuch firmy MOTIVE zakładałem już dwa razy, ale w MAZDA 2.2 MZRCD i wszystko jest OK. Radziłbym także dokupić dodatkowy uszczelniacz olejowy wału korbowego oddzielnie firmy ELRING lub VIC REINZ, ponieważ uszczelniacze olejowe w tych kompletach łańcuchów nie są zbyt dobrej jakości. I jeszcze jedno, we wszystkich tych zestawach napinacz łańcucha głównego nie posiada blokady zapadkowej tłoczka napinacza, która może zablokować położenie tłoka napinacza łańcucha w jednym położeniu po naciągnięciu łańcucha przez tłok napinacza pod wpływem ciśnienia oleju. Dzięki temu ustalaczowi zapadkowemu łańcuch pozostaje napięty nawet bez ciśnienia oleju, co jest bardzo dobre, szczególnie po długim okresie postoju samochódu. Zatem w tych zestawach napinac łańcucha głównego nie ma blokady zapadkowej tłoka i jego napięcie zależy wyłącznie od ciśnienia oleju, co nie jest zbyt dobre. I po konsultacji z właścicielem auta zdecydowaliśmy się na pozostawienie starego oryginalnego napinacza z blokadą zapadkową.
