Quote... "When Nicolette Larson was growing up in Kansas City, Missouri, she’d ask her friends to drive over bumpy roads so she could show off her Neil Young impression. As the truck moved up and down, she’d break out into a shaky vibrato. Just a few years later, the singer found herself in a pickup again, this time with the very man she once emulated. Young - who first worked with Larson on his 1977 LP American Stars ‘n Bars, and briefly dated her afterward - was driving her around his Northern California ranch when she spotted a cassette tape on the floor containing songs that would wind up on his 1978 album Comes a Time. “I picked it up, blew the dust off it, I stuck it in the cassette player, and ‘Lotta Love’ came on,” she told Jimmy McDonough in the Young biography Shakey. “I said, ‘Neil, that’s a really good song.’ He said, ‘You want it? It’s yours.’” Apparently

Young's most boyish image. This was 1979 yet he looks younger compared to his springfield, woodstock and early csny days.

It's weird, Nicolette Larson's version makes me happy, but Neils version makes me wanna cry...just puts me in my feels. Why is that?

The second half. Is possibly my favorite guitar bit in all of music. It’s my Happy Place. I can feel the autumn air and a clean pavement after rain. The air and light play like evanescent gold. And Home is a hearthlight waiting ahead.

I always wonder what Tom's version of this would sound like in this key. I'm a huge Petty fan through and through, but more partial to this cover only for the key it's in. I'm a sucker for minor chords 😂

This is amazing - of course the song is - but seeing this live - where's his mic...!? At first thought this might be overdubbed for the video but no, mic attached to harmonica - luv it! And backup vocalists can't be seen signing but it's not well lit so I assume the band(keys, drummer are singing) is in on it! thanks for posting.
