this can be also caused by stock tyres, there not the same compound of the shelf, fit some Michelin p6 on a street bike and feel the difference, its not all your fork oils fault.

I working on a bike that won't start, I have fuel, have spark, have compression, my last guess is the valves need to be adjusted. Will the bike not start if the valve clearances are way off? The bike has 45,000 miles on it lol

Hey man just so you kno really the way your suppose to do it is you take the whole thing off at one it comes off as one piece headlights sideburns everything if you loosen the main bolts holding it just to the frame you can gently pop the sides out a little then pull up in the nose and the whokethibgs xones out as one piece

Thanks for this! I just finished the swap. Getting the third linkage bolt to align was a little tricky for me, so here's a technique for what it's worth. My last bolt was upper/rear of the triangle. Directly under the hole was a convenient jack point on the arm connecting the linkage to the swingarm. With a second jack on this point, moving in combination with the jack as shown in this video, I was able to find a combination that aligned well enough to tap the bolt through.

Chaotic detour also does this mod , and replaces the springs in the front suspension too.

The shims have the size stamped on them if you buy from kawasaki. Also the factory manual has an chart that tells you what size shim to use demanding on your size gauge that slides in.

Where did you find the information and paperwork for the shims and how to?

Note..that bike doesn't have abs so plenty of room I wonder if it would fit with the gas cylinder facing forward away from abs module

Thanks for posting this. I bought a 2012 gsxr600 shock off eBay for $30 for my 2013 CB500f, and the difference is night and day. So much more comfortable. Remember to set your sag, and dial in your compression and damping. Excellent video!

What size are the shims? Not the thickness but the width? I think it's 7.48 but I just wanted to double check

Does the '13-'16 zx6r use 7.48mm OD shim? I can't find a shim kit with this bike specifically listed and I don't want the order the wrong shims. Thanks in advance.

Don't know if you still check this channel but I'm doing this upgrade soon. The shock came in yesterday. I just have to find a way to cut the plastic tray under, I don't have a dremel so that's my only problem. This will be my reference guide haha.
