Even though the vocals sound very different than any other album, Matt is still an amazing vocalist

I kinda wish LIBAD had a better production. Matt's voice sounds fucking amazing in this compilation but in the álbum he's kinda muted

this band with the rev had very good music, not just original it was epic music... i miss the old days when the drums and guitar combined very well and the result was epic. my favorite band forever

Is this the official drum track of the song or the drum track of the live in the video? It seems too precise, although The Rev was a real master! Thanks for the track :)

Awesome video! Kinda wild to me how I got to see a few of these rarer things (Remenissions in 2007, Not Ready to Die in 2011, Brompton Cocktail in 2008), but despite getting to about 20 A7X shows over the years, I've never gotten to see them play Chapter Four or Eternal Rest.

I love A7X. This new effort is art. But I have never seen anyone trying to actively ruin his voice as Matt does and has over the years. The strain on vocal cords is audible. It makes me tense up and cringe. While on City of Evil, the scream was powerful, on Hail to the King it became the best Hetfield Hetfield never did, by The Stage his voice was starting to go. I hope he is able to recover from this. Great dude from what it seems, good vocalist, just such cringy execution.
@ExternusArmy Жыл бұрын
His voice has been going since Hail to the King. It was probably it’s worst during the later part of that tour. Back when The Range Place used to document vocal ranges, I remember us talking about how we thought they should’ve recorded Httk at the same time of Carry On due to the vocals. This album however is a huge improvement from his past two albums. This album has close to nothing in the way of vocal processing and effects aside from the intentional ones. It’s a very vocally naked album and doesn’t hide any imperfections. This is an artistic choice since being human is a central theme of the album. For his age and his career, this is an impressive album. The isolated vocal tracks also sound a lot better than in the overall mix.

@@ExternusArmyAnd he's sounding absolutely phenomenal live now too! check out any performances of Game Over or Mattel they've done

@@volutedmetal8543 Oh I have, believe me. He’s singing D5s multiple times several nights in a row. It’s awesome. He does however also have more issues with pitch now, especially live. I still think his voice has sounded the best it has in years though.

When I first got wind of "Nobody" back a few months ago, I thought this would be a "Good-weird" album marred by Shadows's damaged vocals. I am glad to be wrong. Album is of excellent quality with stunning-as-usual vocals.
@jastrology4192 Жыл бұрын
Played both Stage and this back to back and he’s clearly singing better on every level. It’s amazing because apparently he had a major vocal cord injury in 2018 or so and thought he’d never sing again
@GaukarMadhouse-z7f Жыл бұрын
I agree but my buddy doesn’t seem to think so. On the Stage, you can clearly hear the spiky eq boosts in the upper mids on his vocals. Kinda killing the guitar sound too. He sounds a lot better and more natural on LIBAD.
@tomaszpiotrowiak9192 Жыл бұрын
@@GaukarMadhouse-z7fExactly! I think the whole album is better mastered and produced than The Stage.
@friendofp.24 Жыл бұрын
@@GaukarMadhouse-z7fShadows sounds really whiney when he gets loud in this album sometimes. I also think they mixed this album really poorly, or they recorded his vocals on a weird mic, because he didn't sound weird in the show they did at Madison Square Garden recently.
