He's literally publicly being condescending to his first wife. He must be heartless.

He’s no “rock star” first off. Second, he’s still acting like a little baby even today. How did this 🤡 make it this far in the music business?

Wrst record he has ever done. What were you thinking John? I get the history of music but they are not good songs except Teardrops.

Angry young man is now angry old man. He called himself "Little Bastard" for a reason. Asshole even admitted he and his band would start backstage fights with other bands because it was "fun" and thats what they did in Indiana. He's a great artist, songwriter and singer but he's a miserable human being. Even his "paintings" are miserable like him.

He promised back opening for Jethro Tull and the Who in the 90s . He said," if you guys throw one more thing at us we are leaving ". Just then, a sea of bottles hit the stage .His whole band had to run for their lives off stage. Poser came in on a Harley and started singing about little pink houses for you and me .Folsom field Boulder, Colorado .

She was a f*cking b-word. Just look at her smarmy attitude. Of course he was uncomfortable; she was being intentionally confrontational and smarmy about it. He easily had the last laugh, though, because where the f*ck is she now?! 🤷🏻‍♂️

John may just be the best songwriter of the last 40 years. His own man, reflecting the life of simple Southern folk like us. I hope I get to see him live before he hangs it up.

had the opportunity to open up for him on this 2001 tour, THE main stage of The Gorge (WA state). Bucket list twice for me; play the stage, then open up for an artist who had an impact on me to get back to my roots (I'm a drummer) when I saw him on the Lonesome Jubilee tour. Priot to that, I was a big jazz/fusion guy but seeing 3 hours of bringing it 'caused me to reinvent my style. Bittersweet memories that summer...

I saw him to days after 9/11 in Mansfield Ma. He was the only show in town. Only concert: no baseball or football. A lot of fear. For my friends and me he took that away and I’ll always be grateful.

I found out years ago that John Mellencamp was from my home state of Indiana while making a delivery at the Wal-Mart DC in Seymour, the security guard told me that it was his birthday and they had been playing his music on the radio all day! I thought that was pretty cool.
