Sounds like this is the biography we've been waiting for. Really looking forward to it; I have it on pre-order. Greetings from Glasgow, Scotland.

I'm friend with the families of two of guitarist, Larry Crane and David Grissom. Great guitarists. I have a few Mellencamp stories.

Really enjoyed this ,long time UK fan and have spread the word beyond Jack and Diane ! Did anyone have a better run of albums from American Fool ,Uh Huh ,Scarecrow,Lonesome jubilee and Big Daddy ? Matured nicely in latter years ,last saw him on on the 'No better than this' tour at Hammersmith ,'Easter Eve' being a real treat :)

Agreed. Nice to hear the author's comments and perspective on putting it all together. It really is an outstanding read and it was interesting to finally hear the back story.
