In the Telecom industry (before zip ties) installers used wax coated string for the bundles.

Ty wraps on servers wiring is like putting a diamond necklace on a pig, not terribly brilliant! Great look, just wrong fastening system.

I mean there comes a point and time where time is being wasted for “perfection.” Performance works the same.

This looks good but is terrible for any kind of maintenance. NEVER use zip ties. Always use Velcro or elastic fasteners so you can fix individual patches quickly and easily. Zip ties are painful to work with.

Hats of to the team for this masterpiece! I'am a data center technician myself, I've never seen such an organized and precise dressing as this. My only question is, did you cut the ends when you reached the rack to get the exactly needed lenght?? It looks like its prefect down until the last centimeters, my mind is blown tbh...

I'm not a cabler, so serious question here: If one of those cables are bad, how do you replace it? Or if you need to re-terminate because of bad connection, is there enough slack to do so?

Absolutely incredible... but what happens when one of the cables in the back (at the top) goes bad and needs to be changed 👀

This is what I tell people with problems with tie wraps. I run the wire from the main phone room to the suite. The entire way sideways and up or down multiple floors, it is cleanly held down with tie wraps. Every technician in the world does the same. Stop complaining about tie wraps in your suite because the entire world is tie wrapped that provides your incoming internet service.

I've been through training courses that tell us unshielded cables are not to be run parallel because of cross talk. Actually had a vendor trainer have us remove all loose zip ties holding bundles in a wire basket tray and have the cables so they would lay naturally
