disclaimer, when you had the ceratec, It must be 9.5 L of oil/ceratec mic, you don't put 9.5l oil and then add ceratec because you will overfill it, for example if you are to add 500 lm of ceratec, you put 9L of oil and 500 ml of ceratec... also ceratec is said to last for at least 2 oil flush so no need to add it all the time , or you can half the quantity for the nexts ones
@BrandonChinn3 ай бұрын
@@philippebrebion6203 so adding in the Ceratec, you don’t actually have to split the difference. Every engine is made to accept a little bit of overfill of oil. It’s common across almost every vehicle. The small amount of ceratec being added in won’t affect anything or overfill in your engine
@Shadows-RC3 ай бұрын
I think ceratec has a lot of calcium in it. If an engine calls for ILSAC-GF6 or whatever, that stuff might not be good for LSPI potentiality.
@markpavkovic4 ай бұрын
It fixed the ticking in my 2008 Mazda MX5. Done as part of an oil change and allowed for the extra volume of Ceratec to total volume. My son was with me when we started the engine and we instantly looked at each other once the engine turned over. The before and after was clear. No more ticking. Even after a several subsequent oil changes.

You need to take out the same amount of oil as the ceratec that goes in. You never want to have the oil level over the fill line cause too much oil can cause damage.
@BrandonChinn8 ай бұрын
No you don’t. That little amount doesn’t affect it enough. Every engines able to be overfilled a little bit on purpose, for the specific reason of people accidentally overfilling. Nothing more then about .5 - 1qt more though. Anything more and it will most likely get cycled back through the manifold

Is this an actual fix, a bandaid or psychological &&&&. Everyone needs to look up THE OIL GEEK. Adding these additives in general can be more harmful than good, it also depends on what type of engine oil you are using. Some brands of additives react harshly to certain oils, so hence your engine protection is compromised- bearings, piston bore and so on. PLEASE, PLEASE DO YOUR RESEARCH PEOPLE and what you may find might make your head spin. Good luck 😂

@vicrefalo32738 ай бұрын
@@BrandonChinn Hi Brandon, sorry to hear about the piston bore, but again using oil additives will DECREASE PROTECTION even more if you already have damage as it reacts with the chemistry of the oil. I use 5w- 30 full synthetic and have had no issues. Good luck. Vic

So now your oil level is above max? Additives are supposed to be added with oil so you still have the correct oil level. You could also remove some oil before dumping two bottles of more liquid into your oil.
@BrandonChinn10 ай бұрын
By standard it is technically above max but engines are built to withhold excess oil in case of overfill. Obviously not much but those two little bottles aren’t going to affect anything
