This is an incredibly well-done documentary, and, like ANY historically accurate film about the Native Americans and the buffalo, it brought me to tears several times. However, with the Wild Idea initiative (and others like it), there does seem to be hope for a brighter future than what it appeared 25 years ago. Thank you for your efforts in this area. Thank you for caring for the buffalo. I will only buy bison products from Wild Idea going forward.

Just fantastic! Returning the plains to their natural state is the answer, and the bison (buffalo) hold the key. Thanks for founding Wild Idea Dan and keep up the great work!

I am do excited to have found your You Tube Channel! I read The Vegetarian Myth, by Lierre Keith, and she turned me on to your book, Buffalo for the Broken Heart... which led me to your website...and now your You Tube Channel! First, Thank You so much for all you are doing to save the bison and the Earth❤ I used to be a vegan Zealot, for 6 years. Thought I was holier than thou. Holly mackerel was I sooooo wrong/closed minded/Ignorant. Thank God, for some revelation, I escaped, found the path of Keto to Carnivore. NOW, I read/researched more, and want to devote my life to spreading the wonderful truths about what you are doing, to walk the talk, on saving the land, the bison and Humanity! Thank You, again, Dan!

I don't care who brought them I am glad they are back on Native grass this is where they should be in the year of 1800s they were almost gone for good the Railroad and the Bankers Rothschilds and Rockefeller had over Millions to be killed so the Native American people would starve to death there lifely hood was the Bison 🦬 ( 🦬 Tondaka ) I believe the Military back then killed them and getting paid off by the Bankers Rothschilds and Rockefeller and Diamond which is JP Morgan think about ‼️ They call America a Corporations ‼️ I have been doing a lot of research ‼️ And look what is going on now China buying up land and Bill Gates buying up land I am talking about farm land like they say control the food control the people ‼️‼️ We are being treated like they did the Native American people we the people have been lied to for years ‼️ I have heard that by the mouth of May every cattle and Bison will have to have a certain tag that track everything that animal is doing I can't think of name for it ‼️ Everything that I said in this comment people have talked to me about and I have looked in on this My self ( Research ) ‼️

Thank you for this video! I am reading Dan’s book, “Buffalo for the Broken Heart”, and am really enjoying it. I heard about it a few days ago, on Dr. Chaffee’s KZbin channel. A guest he was interviewing mentioned the book and I was captivated by her comments. Dan is a wonderful writer, making his journey come alive for the reader. It is lovely to get to see the land and the animals he is writing about❤ Full disclosure: I live in north central Iowa and love the prairie. I shall be placing an order soon!

Hi Jill, Greetings from Snowmageddon 2024 in Grand Rapids, Michigan! I am using a 4.59 lb angus beef, boneless sirloin tip roast (not wet aged). Using a conventional, electric stove/oven. Tramontina, 5 qt, tri ply clad, stainless steel Dutch oven. How long should I cook at 500 degrees and then 475 if I want it to be pink, but not medium rare? Thank you so much! 😊

Appreciate the fact you smudge first. That’s respectful and spiritually cleansing. If you are showing that you only take what you need each Harvest that’s good in my view as well. Definitely a process improvement on top of grass fed/grass finished. Some things are moving in the right direction. Thanks for sharing.

Why do you rinse the steaks first? I’ve never heard of that before. I usually rinse my chicken, but never my steaks. I have my first WIB rib eye defrosting in fridge for dinner tomorrow.

While I have tried several times in my life to not eat meat, and hence, not be part of the killing of sweet creatures for sustenance, I fail to feel well when I do this. In searching for healthy meat, I stumbled upon your company. I am beyond impressed that you made this video sharing with people what actually goes into taking a creature from breathing on it's on in a pasture to a piece of meat on your table. It was a very well-done video and I applaud your efforts to show the respect for the beings that you raise and provide to us. Thank you so much.

People think that I am crazy in saying bison should replace cattle as a way of restoring the Great Plains. Yea, I won't debate the crazy part. Bringing back the bison is just common sense.

Hello Jill, have question: If I'm only doing a 2.2 lb roast, I'm believing 11 mins is sufficient (5 mins/lb) but should I still let it continue for 2hours after turning off and leaving in the closed oven? Your thoughts? Thanx again for the WOW technique!
@wildideabuffalo2 жыл бұрын
Hi there. I would go for 9 to 10 minutes based on the shape of the roast. Carry on with the recipe as is. Thank you!
