Wonderful commitment. Thanks for that clip. Once a conservationist always a conservationist I guess!

God Bless you Dan O Brien- I hope to visit the farm someday, while you’re still there! & get to meet you. I grew up riding horses. So Id love to ride out with the other cowboys & girls there. 🙏 I HOPE you have family who care as much as you do, to pass this down to. I pray for Wild Idea Buffalo to stick around a LONG, LONG time, and lead the world by example. May You live LONG and PROSPER. 🙏🌾🌾🌾🐃

I have become disillusioned with bison. I thought it would be an answer to my animal welfare concerns, but in a way it is even worse than most beef. A wild animal feels much greater stress going through the transport and processing procedure than a domestic animal. I ordered from Wild Idea after I learned about bison in feed lots and that horror show, but the cost is prohibitive. I've switched back to beef raised on a small farm near me. It's half the price of bison and I can see, up close how the animals are living and I know they are slaughtered very close to the farm. Wild Idea has the right idea, but it will always be an option only for those with money. My goal is still to going back to being vegetarian anyway.

Interesting. Candid. It IS expensive! More than I thought. I may be wrong about this, so I wrote a note asking about it. But is it true that an 8 oz. filet steak costs $43.00?

I always share this company with anyone who will listen. Including Nazi -vegans who think there is no such thing as sustainable or humane animal agriculture. I have my BA degree in Environmental Studies. This IS the way it should be. It is a FUTILE effort to try to stop ALL meat production. I get so disappointed in Vegans who hurt their own cause shaming others who eat meat. People will never stop eating meat, thats just reality. And SOY farming for VEGAN products in many cases is JUST AS ENVIRONMENTALLY DESTRUCTIVE AS MEAT FARMING!!!!!! So their Sanctimonious BULLCRAP just doesn’t fly with me. Unfortunately many of them seem incapable and too immature to even have more nuanced, open, honest discussions like I try to have. So I just got blocked, again 🙄 But it would be far more worthwhile and realistically achievable to encourage and advocate for both a significant REDUCTION in meat consumption, and for people to raise their standards! QUALITY over Quantity. Not all out abstinence which is just never going to happen globally. And when they act so sanctimonious, and judge and shame others who DO care and are NOT selfish people (like me) as “selfish” just for attempting to have more nuanced/open/honest conversations.... they actually alienate people and hurt rather than help their own cause. I shop small and local. I hardly ever buy online. Im a minimalist. I dont buy a lot of plastic packaging. I havent even flown on an airplane more than once in the past decade- I again, have my BA degree in environmental studies- they dont know any of that but if i admit to still eating meat or speak on behalf of the millions of others who do- I get attacked by multiple people at once and called “selfish”. So what if I enjoy a burger once in a while?! Im only human! I have Wild Idea Buffalo taste but im on an In N Out budget! 🤷♀️😂 That doesnt make me a terrible person. Unlike most people- Ill actually go the extra mile and call in & write to In N Out asking & putting pressure on them to offer a plant-based burger! Bc I dont care if its meat or not! But In N Out is an ICONIC California staple and those lines in the drive through? Arent going away. So the best bet for people who care- is NOT to have nothing to do with them, but to put pressure on them and encourage them with our DOLLARS and say - there is a HUGE & Growing MARKET for Plant Based burgers now from increasingly conscious consumers! And if you dont hop on it- you’re missing out! Once we REDUCE THE DEMAND for regular meat, THEN we have a MUCH better chance of gaining more leverage and demanding improved Quality and standards. Change does not happen overnight- and it does not happen by shaming and blocking the people you want to change, or having nothing to do with or ZERO communication with the industry you’re trying to change. I DO support their cause. Its thanks to them and their efforts exposing the inhumane practices that In N Out & the Dept. of Ag. Banned one of the suppliers that was violating minimum care standards. Well sorry this got so long but- I just came hot off the press from one of these exact kinds of bad experiences with fucking sanctimonious holier than thou vegans, who dont understand there are intermediary steps and getting people or big systems to change is a process- it doesnt happen overnight, and it doesnt happen by people being shamed or blocked and shut out entirely. 🙄😒
