I got a water flosser now, and I don't know how I lived without it. My mouth feels so clean, and even after regular dental floss use, and then ending with the water flosser, I still get dabree out. My hygienist recommended a while ago, and I finally listened. I was a bit slow to the game, but I am on track now😁

I'm glad that u you specifically mentioned the chemicals that are put into the tobacco as opposed to what most doctors will say, that "tobacco is bad." Natural tobacco, without all the added chemicals is not toxic, but actually very medicinal. There are also a variety of herbs can be smoked which increase the nutrient absorption more than other means of consuming them.

Had my dentist pull a decayed tooth but since he didnt do implants he convinced me to do a bridge/ abutment. Wish I would have listened to myself and not him and got the implant. $2700 vs $3700. For $1000 more get the implant.

Dental work is expensive. I got a partial plate when I was 17. I had really bad teeth in the top front and a couple on the bottom. I wouldn't look at people when I spoke to someone. When I got the dental work done, it was great to not put my hand over my mouth, when I spoke to someone. I would love to have implants.

My oral surgeon drives and races Porsches. My regular dentist has a small car collection including Ferrari and BMW. Quite a lucrative field. Difference is, the car collector charged me outrageous prices and I finally left him. Though he did good work . The oral surgeon was going to do an implant on the lower left farthest back tooth as a result of an extraction, as recommended by my newer dentist. During a consultation I asked him if it was something that was doable, to work back there, and does everything look okay. After our 10 minutes usual conversation about Porsches since I'm into cars also, he said you know, at your age of 69 I wouldn't even bother with it. Saved me a whole lot of Hassle and money.

There are a lot of dentist out there advertise inexpensive dental implants and usually the dental implants will not hold up and up falling out. You usually have to pay 5000.00 for one implant going rate if it a lot cheaper than that be wary. You really need to due a search for a qualify dentist.

How long do dental implants last? Should the dentist remove the top part during cleanings?

I have bone loss and will need a bone graft. I overheard them saying my tooth is still in good shape but the food pocketing in my gums is the issue. My question is, is there a way to do a bone graft without extracting my tooth? so I don't have to pay an arm and a leg for an implant and crown.

@Dr.BrettLangston Could you tell me, and possibly make a video about what you need to do after you get your dentures and a used to them. Not the daily/nightly cleaning, but things you advice to do few months or when and how often you need to go to your dentist and what they should be doing for you. I also went to someone that specializes in dentures and implants should I be seeing a regular dentist too, one that is more about mouth health? Personally I’ve had issues with mine but have to wait 10yrs to get them replaced and I’m on year 4🤦🏻. Se didn’t go over half of what I saw in your videos and I’ve read online you should go to the dentist, I’m just not sure for what and how often. I would be SUPER grateful for any advice and your time! I’m in rural Montana so my options are very limited🤦🏻😮‍💨

Normal. Will be fine, just try not to do it as much as you would like. I had an upper arch done with snap-in dentures and even smoked...yeah, worst move, and took months to heal but it all worked out because the work and care were quality. If they put junk in or not a good doc.. not much you can do and tongue or not will fail..

I’ve decided that all the dental surgeons in my area have a God complex. My recent one didn’t believe me during our initial meeting that my tooth hurt, but he found an infected extra root that hadn’t been dealt with years ago when I had a root canal. He didn’t believe me during the surgery when I said I could still feel the sharp pain while he was drilling into my jawbone. I had to bear down, wrap my legs around the bottom of the chair and take it. He didn’t give me antibiotics or anything for the pain afterwards, and my stitches were coming loose by the time the anesthesia wore off. He didn’t schedule a follow up visit. He didn’t tell me what kind of material he used for the bone graft, and he was frustrated with me for taking a few minutes to violently shake in the chair after he was done. Dude worked at the Pentagon so I suppose his ego took precedence over my safety. He didn’t even know the difference between osteoporosis and osteopenia. Something everyone who’s doing a bone graft should know. The surgeon I had before him knocked one of my crowns out on Mother’s Day and basically said “Oh well, have your dentist fix it” and stormed out of the room when he was done. He knew full well that in the United States, one has to wait 6 months to have something like that done. I lost that tooth because of him. His assistant felt so bad she gave me her Mother’s Day flowers when I left. I spent 5 months in a hospital that joins with a military hospital. One of my surgeons was a military surgeon. I was known as a tough and “stoic” patient. I didn’t complain. I was always kind. I was not a crybaby. I do have a little bit of medical PTSD from almost dying twice during that stay. There’s no reason these two local dental surgeons needed to treat me like I’m less than human except that they are sadistic sociopaths. I’m just here trying to figure out if I’m healing properly because there’s no way in hell I’m going back to that guy to ask.

I had a dentist who didn't accept that I could still feel pain after he had injected anesthetic. I learnt to tell him to forget anesthetic and just get on with it. Then I moved to a new location. Saw a new dentist, and when I explained about the anesthetic not working, he said a few men have nerves routed differently. With your permission I'll try a couple of strategies. I said ok, and his 2nd strategy worked. After that, anesthetic worked just fine.
