I have two pairs of wayfarer 2s that have B&L above the lense. Both these glasses were my late grandfather’s and now I have them. I have the ray ban slip cases with them as well. I also have a nice collection of vintage wayfarers and aviators and they seem the same quality same engraving every is the same. I remember my grandfather wearing these when I was a kid back in the 80s. Surly these can’t be fake?

Just got these three online today, you won't believe ... 1st: (Ray Ban) BL 62▢14 USA/ 3N/ G15 , mint condition, with BL on the lenses sides, for 20€ !!! 2nd: (Ray Ban) BL 62▢14/ 2N/ G15 , mint condition, with BL on the lenses sides, for 25€ !!! 3rd: you'd better sit down... (no Ray Ban etching) BL 58▢14 USA / 2N/ G15 , mint condition, no BL on the lenses , for 15€ !!! I'll send you pics by email once they arrive wednesday. I can't wait to have them on me !!! Man, i even got goosebumps when i was buying'em. In fact, i started to buy Ray Bans for selling them... But...i cant get rid of them, even the 55▢14 with two BL etchings on each lens, nor even the brown/amber 52▢14, all like new. I have now 9 USAs, and 6 Italians. My dad ( who was a big fan of aviators) bought me a pair of those 2:20 when I was 16 from Dubai in the 80s but they are a little smaller (perfect for women) with full dark brown leather around the frames with crystal that darkens or lightens with light and I removed the bridge leather cause it reminded me of a mono-brow...Otherwise they are in top condition and the pads are pearl like lighter alomst transculent. I still use them when I am driving. I find crystal to be more friendly to my eyes compared to plastic or polarized lenses.

Great informative video. Just one thing that I have a query with. In the video (at approx 8.15 ) you say that a BL etching on the lens indicates they were late 70's) the video shows a lens with tge BL etched just beside the hinge. I have a pair of aviators that has BL etched at the top of each lens. I am querying your late 70's date fir this edition as I obtained mine in Majorca in 1976. Theh must have been manufactured even earlier than this as they weren't new when I got them. They were at least a couple of years old when I got them. They are stamped 58 ■ 14 USA on the underside of the bridge bar.
