The enemy loves throwing darts at our self esteem. I struggle with it as well from time to time- that spirit of self doubt. I found myself rebuking it on January 1st because it came out of no where, thinking I shouldn’t continue with my channel. But this is what the enemy wants and I had to pray over that because I know God wants me to be able to reach others and guide them to him. Love this 🫶🏼 from a fellow Christian content creator 💕 May God bless and continue to use you . And yes, you’re beautiful and wonderfully made. And your voice is just fine, lol I struggle with that as well.

THIS ALREADY IS and is GOING TO BE such a good series! I know this first video alone was so needed! My husband and I breakaway from social media for the 1st quarter of every year for this exact reason! It’s overwhelming and just creates anxiety and discontentment. That detox allows us to clear our minds and reset our perspective, to realign our hearts to have gratitude and appreciation and just give us a different joy and energy to feel sustained and fulfilled and abundant with what we already have! I don’t understand KZbin algorithm because this outfit looks horrible yet it gets lots of views. No offensive but I subscribed to this black female designer and her work is amazing. Images and video content is amazing always but her channel only gets nothing more that 50 views. That’s just ridiculous

My designs aren’t for everyone and this one might not be for you and that’s 100% ok- no offense taken. But maybe instead of leaving negative comments on people’s pages, you can use that same time and energy to like/share/comment on peoples pages you do like to help boost their content. That way I don’t have to start the day with a negative comment and the designer you like can hopefully get more recognition- it’s a win for us all! 👏🏾 PS- this was just a practice session and the look hasn’t been sewn, lined or anywhere near complete but while you’re here feel free to stick around to see the final look I’m posting soon

The process is called draping. Typically people will sketch a design, make a pattern, cut the fabric and sew. Because I can’t draw, often time I’ll use muslin or the actual fabric to drape the design on the mannequin. I had this design idea in my head and figured I would go for it directly with the fabric and loved how it turned out. I have plenty of fabric left to make other designs and typically like to use the fabric scraps as well for other projects 😊

That’s the beauty of design and alterations- to tailor clothes to fit to our bodies. After having two kids, I’m barely the same size as my mannequin anymore lol But I don’t let that discourage me- I just try to find different styles that flatter my body and alter clothes so that I can feel the most confident. Getting clothes altered is typically an underrated option but it can be a game-changer 😊 thanks for watching!

Lol great question! So when I drape on the mannequin it’s just getting the idea out of my head and onto fabric (unfortunately I can’t sketch). Now that I have the silhouette of the dress, I will basically sew it together since the mannequin is my size. For this piece I would add a zipper on the sides to get in and out of the dress 😊
