2017 and no powered hydraulic jacks, the rest of the world had them years before, could they not ride it up back on rails, a few fish plates and wood blocks and she would have gone up and on.

Odd to see a prisoner performing this kind of work. (In the US, convicts are given orange suits like that.)
@ecksfilesbonyuk82 күн бұрын
Thank you for your comment ,The guy you see in my video wearing the orange suit like convicts do in the USA is in fact a engineer and a boiler inspector.

At least you know it's moving and where it is. That's good from a safety perspective despite the annoyance.

If its a construction project, there are non crime related reasons, eg an electrical fault or a badly placed heater left on. All will become clear I'm sure.

When was this filmed? I'm guessing it's a few years old with the 2013 diesel gala poster and one of the road shots showing an old factory which I thought had since been replaced with flats. Also 37703 was still there, I thought she'd been sold and had left the site?
@garthcox430729 күн бұрын
37703 was sold to harry needle about 2021 and was originally intended to be stripped for spares, which would have been a shame. As of 2024 however it is safe again in it's new home on the south Devon railway.

These gentlemen, should be, being followed and train young men, ladies, they have so much to pass on to a new generation. As used to be the way. I was mentored by a skilled craftsman from my first day, in a small engineering workshop, the words used were “Wally,here is your new slave for 5 years” a man of many skills including welding. And master of them ALL. We in turn provided training for a younger generation.
