I never thought about each axle end being slightly different diameter. More to this job than meets the eye. Really enjoy watching these workshop videos

Thanks for the comments. However, it's worth pointing out that since this video was made, it was discovered that I am not so smart, as a miscalculation led to the bore not being in the correct place. Luckily it was discovered by Brian Thomson, the boss, in time for a correction to be made. The advantage of having a team is that we benefit from collective experience and intelligence. Also, no matter how old you are, everyday in the workshop is a learning day.

What a Skill ,I don’t know but a skill probably honed in manufacturing,where are the apprentices ,?

Jeffrey, thank you for your comments, Indeed all of these wonderful machining skills will sadly be lost forever if not passed on to the next generation the SRPS need more apprentices and more volunteer machinists.
