I'm strongly considering replacing my mattress with a queen size air matress. Like my main, bedroom matress in my bed frame. Cheaper, lighter, easier to move and clean. I have a very nice, comfortable one. Has anyone done this? Pros, cons?

Mine definitely has a slow leak and I can’t find it even with a soapy water bath. I’m thinking it may be from the area behind the motor box that is incorporated into the mattress? Anyone else have that be the problem?

You’ve got to be kidding. Worst tutorial for finding a hole, EVER! 🙄

About half the battle is locating the leak(s). Wetting a hand and passing it around the exterior of a fully inflated air filled object works well to find those pesky small leaks.

I found the hole this way

Does/Will this work if your air mattress has a felt top covering.

Pro tip: air mattresses and cats don't mix well

Won't help me. My queen-size from Walmart didn't have a patch kit. Deflates to the floor in 10 minutes. Not your brand. And I threw my bed away. I guess 3 uses on a new and shampooed rug is it's limit

I wasted 40 minutes looking on the under side when the puncture was on the top side. In my case, I figured the hole by groping systematically. (I know how it is sounding but that is what I did.). I sealed the fuzzy side by removing the fuzz by using a sand paper first till I see the skin (Urgh. This is getting weirder).

HEY, this is the FIRST repair video for an air bed that I've seen that actually WORKED🥰😍. Thank you very much for advice that works. Note to others, he does mention in the comments that side seam openings are very hard to fix and may not be repairable. The other punctures, FIXED!!

Wet your lips and go around the matress and sides etc...dude what the fuck are you smoking? Kust grab a spray bottle with water and soap detergent. You'll find the hole instantly. Buddy you're brain fried.

For anyone who is looking to fix this low budget Just use a super glue and baking soda 1st put a little glue on the hole and apply a pinch of backing soda n Then repeat You don't need a lot you just need 2 3 drops of super glue and 1 or 2 pinch of baking soda. I have used the industrial tape, and this method too but didn't last even a day. If you are looking for a clean finish, I suggest letting a Pro with proper tools do it.

Might have to sand down the hole I found in my mattress today as I'm still losing air. It's a 20 inch mattress so it has a bit of heft and I've rolled the thing around four or five times today trying to find where I'm losing air still. I don't feel anything from the current hole, but I just slapped another piece of adhesive over the first one, just in case. I rolled that bed like a Katamari ball and have yet to find another source of escaping air. I heard valves can also be weak and yet I still don't feel air from it. I'm miffed and I just know at 5AM yet again, I'm going ti be in a taco on the mattress. I so can't wait until I buy a proper bed next paycheck...I'm spending my days off troubleshooting my bed and can't even sleep in or take a nap because of it. Sleeping directly on the floor again might be a better option to this song and dance. For shame, this was supposed to be my guest bed once I was done with it. I have a Bestway mattress I got from Walmart. I loved that bed until today, lol.
