I am getting some of these after a nasty leg injury just two weeks ago - first in 10 years. Chainsaw injuries are much worse than you'd expect. Always be prepared and wear protective gears.

I had just been promoted to Safety Manager in April from an unrelated position but was laid off in August. Now I'm unemployed and having a very difficult time getting back into the field. I went ahead and took on the OSHA-30. I don't have the experience req. for ASP. Any tips would be appreciated.

If i win this phone, i will be able to use it in the 4x4 workshop where i work. There is a lot of iron dust wen grinding metal parts. My hands get dirty from the grease and i will be able to still use it. The 4x4 parts also fall on the ground and if my cat phone is on the floor next to me, no scratches. My work space is definitely the place for a cat phone. Thanks.

I remember I was in maybe 10th grade, Christmas Eve and our neighbor set his house on fire from getting a little too exuberant with logs in the fireplace, taking a shovel-full of coals into the garage for some unexplainable reason, and thereby igniting the gas cans out there. Was a true blaze… My family’s house was downwind, and my father and I were out there with hoses, spraying water on the roof while the fire department handled the neighbor’s disaster. Merry $&@#% Christmas…

This is a very good introduction to LOTO, in general. Two key topics that should also be addressed are: 1) Each person needs to learn the site-specific LOTO program, as there are differences from plant to plant; 2) each person should have their own personal lock on the scissor clamp and not hand the key to anyone else until the lock is removed.

How come pornography industry in Hollywood California, Las Vegas doesn’t have OSHA rules on their sets ???
@AllySafety
@AllySafety 26 күн бұрын
Well that’s the first time I’ve gotten this question! OSHA doesn’t have any industry specific standards for the entertainment industry, regardless of the type of entertainment. They’d fall under general industry and would have a duty to protect the health and safety of employees. OSHA works with the United States Institute for Theatre Technology (USITT) and IATSE to provide information, guidance, and training resources to help protect the health and safety of workers in the entertainment industry.

Old man here. I still walk my dog 2-4 miles a day, year round. Came here to see what I'm doing right. and what I can add. Tires, alwayk check air pressure more in the winter. Why? Metal rims contract differently than tire beads, air when colder has less pressure in the tire and the rubber is not as flexible when cold. My sidewalks, stairs and driveways are always cleared right away. I consider it a responsibility to delivery people, my wife and my neighbors to clear that snow. When there's going to be icy sidewalks and I will be walking the dog I put on cleats. Those travel tips, have a tow strap or chain, some traction aid, a shovel, blanket etc. in the vehicles. ALWAYS fully remove snow and ice from your vehicle. Have one of those CO detectors in the same room as the furnace. When walking the dog I have a pack with extra mittens, scarf, hat and socks. I've got places I can stop to warm up, city hall, police station, three banks, a liquor store, the veterinarian office. I've opened the outer layer to allow moisture to escape several times. Once I saw frost forming on the next layer. Wool, change out of the boots and socks when they are wet. If wearing pac or similar boots with an insulated insert, get a second set of inserts for those days when the insert gets wet and you still need to be out. Alcohol, only when done being outside for the day and not going anywhere.

You are really overcomplicating this process. Step 2 is completely unnecessary. And step 1 you only need to use your thumb and forefinger. The plugs should be parallel to your fingers not perpendicular. And with the round end facing towards your palm.
