I wouldn’t say that in Hong Kong I’ve had some the best Chinese dishes but in North America YES in Toronto many great authentic restaurants on Spidina Ave. also in New York in Manhattan. I’ve visited HK over a dozen times and honestly it’s a hit and miss every time.

I loved HK in every aspect, never been to North America so can't comment on that

Accustomed Chinese people know that customer service is not a factor in the tastiness of the food! Get yelled at and ignored, but the food will be better
@davidwong52302 ай бұрын
Not really the case for the one I went to. There were a lot of details I left out in the video, as to not to disgrace them any further. I’m not asking for exceptional service, but just wanted to be treated equally
@erictan152219 күн бұрын
Rubbish. The same ppl expect a basic courtesy when they visit a bank, board an airline or seek help with doctors/police. F&B is part of hospitality industry which includes basic courtesy. Not special treatment but fundamental manners. I would appreciate someone yelling at me when I am buying food from them.

An incredibly important video when it comes to introducing Chinese food as rice is a core staple! With unlimited flavours and variations, it's impossible to choose a favourite! I'm really happy you included clay pot rice as this is truly an exquisite dish, near the top of my list. Thank you David, this video has given me the courage to branch out of my comfort zone and try more rice dishes!

What is your favourite fried rice dish?
@katrinlausch30782 жыл бұрын
Well first I enjoy all food related videos but there needs to be an informative side which asks for recherche (not like just "yum"/"it tastes good" but what flavours are in it, what exactly do you like/dislike, no mukhbang, describe what you eat, what makes a dish special at a location or is is even connected to a region/cuisine). I enjoy when someone has a theme like:different x in an area (the same type or different takes on that theme) or compare dish y at different places (but fair, different ingredients have higher/lower prices, etc.). Rarely seen dishes/specialities are nice, dish z at different price points, price/budget challenges or themed challenges without over-eating or food waste. Reviews (unbiased) of restaurants or new places are interesting, what do locals eat on a daily basis or at special days/occasions.
@katrinlausch30782 жыл бұрын
Also foreign cusines in the area you live, how authentic (if you can tell) is it or how do they show you foreign food. Also in what direction goes China regarding food, what is changing? You could do: what you eat normally a day as well (just 1-2 videos).
