im not joiking, i have been trying to find a tankdrive transmittor for hours. You saved my life. Thank you!!!
@BlackLightningRoboticsАй бұрын
@@ludvig-u1g Glad you found this helpful! These hobbyking transmitters are great for beginners, tho they can be a bit limiting. I'm getting a Radiomaster Zorro for my next tx, which is apparently super easy to modify for tank as well! Doesn't even require taking it apart, there are external spring adjustment screws. Looking forward to trying it when I get mine!

Where do you get the metal from?

@@BeyondBaito Onlinemetals has cheap metal if you want to work it yourself. Or you can get parts cut at sendcutsend, they have lots of useful metals and plastics options there!

Definitely was a close fight, watching it back the control as a lot more split than I thought at the time. The JD scoring at Bot Brawl is 8 points for damage, 6 for aggression and 5 for control I believe. This makes it hard to come back from a damage deficit as a control bot, especially a 7-1 split as was likely the case here. I think aggression may have worked in my favor as when your blade was not spinning I was seen as being more aggressive.

Considering it’s one of my favorite bots, it really was an honor getting to fight the predecessor to Phantom ll (even if it wasn’t exactly in the way that I wanted). Hoping to have a rematch someday!

Hey! Love the video, especially those hoops. I'm looking to make a ant weight that use a hoop (or maybe more of a truncated cone) as armor that is connected to bearings kind of like a unpowered spinner bot. Any tips on what thickness to use? I figure I'll just overlap the ends together and use an insanely strong tape to connect them. Also, do you happen to know any other teams that have used this material like this? Would love to observe more designs with it.

Come to think of it, Bots'n'Stuff would be a great name for a hobby store or something. Edit: the protective disc is only 1/2 inch thicc? Damn I would have thought that it was 1 inch at least!! 😅😅😅

What is the diameter of your shoulder bolt?
@BlackLightningRobotics2 жыл бұрын
We go with a 1/2" shoulder bolt for added strength, because we have a big long bar and the shaft is only supported underneath.
@Dangineering2 жыл бұрын
@@BlackLightningRobotics Yeah that's pretty meaty. Have you experienced any sort of bending of the shaft when using a smaller diameter?

Full body spinners are harder to kill but they usually die due to breakdowns or heavy impact to the inside from impacts
