First test of my Snow Joe was a massive blizzard that dropped 20+ inches of snow with drifts well over 3ft. kzbin.infoUgkxoHYZbq5g9fkcAtinlTqstNlje-UQkCHN This snow thrower is definitely not designed for this much snow but it powered through it. We did have to knock down taller drifts with a shovel and at times the chute was awkward because snow banks were much higher than it could throw, but still much easier than shoveling. The plus side of the small size is the maneuverability. Easy to lift up to walkways and works in tight spaces near cars. Highly recommend.Note: after assembling it started but did not turn. The belt wasn't in place. Easy fix.

Do you need to leave it charged up for some time? My Troy-built is 2420 self-propelled and just got it, it is gassed up.

Just bought a 2420 and put it together today. It doesn’t have a throttle ? Why ?

Nice video. Thanks. A couple of questions: 1) Is it better to drain the gasoline at the end of the season, or to keep tank full, add gas stabilizer, and start the blower periodically throughout the summer? 2) Is it okay to use ethanol gasoline? I don't myself. I've heard ethanol is bad for these types of engines.

Thanks for the post. I installed the MeltBuddy on my Ariens snowblower but noticed a problem. The gate bracket (black colored at the bottom of the bucket) does not shut all the way when the control lever is not being squeezed. It looks like any added ice melt will just fall through the open gap when not in use. On your MeltBuddy, does the bracket shut completely when not in use? Thanks.

I looked in my manual I have the storm 2410 two stage gas powered troy bilt and to turn in while it is running, looks like (according to manual..) there should be 2 levers on the underside of both L & R handles, I do not have that. I have no idea how to turn it, I usually just struggle & use all my strength to do so. Can you comment on this. Thanks.

Thanks for the video. Did I break the machine if i forgot to turn the knob back to original shown at 4:29 in this video. The machine just ran for like a minute or two then stopped. I though it run out of gas so I pumped in. Machine worked again then stopped in another minute or so. I realized I probably forgot to turn the knob. I stopped and waited to turn on the machine but never got back to work after several attempts. I did wait for a few minutes for another try though.

do you use gas and oil or just oil?
@jcolandscaping58677 жыл бұрын
+beastmode12 it's just a gas and oil separate no mix
@DariiDonDada7 жыл бұрын
so i can do oil all the time
@algemmegla90026 жыл бұрын
Beastmode12211: Regarding "oil all the time" (...?) You have to add gas to the gas tank (better to use ethanol-free gas) and check the level of oil in the oil tank - just like a car. You probably know this, but thought I'd mention it, just in case.
@jcolandscaping58676 жыл бұрын
You have to put gas in the gas tank and oil in the oil tank

Thank you for the video. I had attempted to use the electric starter,and my snowblower started right up. After I turned the choke to the run position, the machine died whenever I depressed the auger control handle. I had used the snowblower a few days prior without this problem.Was wondering if I am missing a step.
@jcolandscaping58677 жыл бұрын
+Richard Gorman make sure your machine is running at full throttle and when you first start it up leave the choke on for 10-15 seconds and let the machine warm up after that slowly move the choke to the run position and let the machine warm up for another 15 seconds then you should be fine

Hi JCO, might want to reshoot this video. Pretty hard to hear you and maybe have the blower out of the garage already, so you don;t have to do that. Also, don;t put your hands in the blades, even when it is off, as people don;t know that blades can still spin even when it is off. Too many fingers and hands to get sewn back on here in the Colorado! Thanks
@jcolandscaping58677 жыл бұрын
