The question how is every eye going to see Him with the earth being round......I think He will be seen riding from afar as the world turns, and His brightness and glory and majesty so brilliant will be so bright that there will be no mistaking Him for a comet. Just my thoughts because I don't the answer go this question either. Great sermon.

Dear Brother Blackwell. This sermon has so very much helped me in the past month and it will continue to help me well into the future. A month ago my family suffered an extremely traumatic tragedy. My 10 year old cousin lost his life in a 4-wheeler accident. I have shared this sermon with all of my family. I am sure it has helped them as well. Keep up the outstanding work you do in service to the Lord. As a new Christian I attended a lectureship you did at Fairview Church of Christ in Pulaski, TN a few years back. When the thief was on the cross Christ was there still alive. Christ had all authority to forgive sin while He was on earth, therefore He said to the thief " today you will be with me in Paradise" whereby He was as good as saying your sins are forgiven, today you will be with me in Paradise. He had forgiven the thief...He had the Authority....He was still alive when He said those words to the thief...

I have a question about the thief on the cross. He was not baptized, yet Christ said “Truly I tell you, today you will be with me in paradise.” Luke 23:43, saying that he was saved even though he hadn't been baptized. So when Mr. Blackwell said, at time stamp 28:27, quote "No person in the new testament were ever saved before they were baptized", I have to question then what he thinks about the thief on the cross. Does he suppose that the thief wasn't saved because he wasn't baptized? Please let me know your thoughts.

Technically the gospel accounts, although recorded in the New Testament, in terms of when the events are taking place, it’s still under the Law of Moses. The Church was put into place on Acts Chapter 2.

I agree with what Bro. Blackwell says about liberal bias in media, but I really hope no one here thinks that conservative bias in media doesn't also exist, or that a conservative opinion can't ever be wrong. I think of Proverbs 4:25-27: Give careful thought to the paths for your feet and be steadfast in all your ways. Do not turn to the right or the left; keep your foot from evil.

This is the reason why Christians don't grow if you look at Hebrews 6: 1- 3 because Christians don't believe that secret sin should be repented of when the Lord's invitation is extended on Sundays; that's why we don't grow, and God doesn't let us to permit to grow because of our ignorance; a secret sin is as bad as a Public sin. Look what has happened to Achan Jud.7; David and Bathsheba; Ananias and Sapphira look at Ephesians 5:11,12 especially verse 12.

What I understand Don is that you don't believe secret sin should be confessed publicly, but if you listen to yourself that Deacon; he didn't have to confess his sin that was done in secret till he got caught; when he did it in secret, so my question to you why do you not believe that a secret sin is just as bad as a public sin that's being kind of hypocritical don't you think bro A secret sin is even worse than a public sin and a brother or sister should confess that publicly when the Lord's invitation is extended on Sundays we don't have to say what kind of sin we just have to say I'm just responding to the Lord's invitation to repent it to confess to God of all my sins David said I have sinned when he done that secret sin was Bathsheba what about Achan he and his whole family were destroyed by fire and stone to death what about Ananias & Sapphirus when they lied to the Holy Spirit

A good start with true repentance is to stop combining the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 1:30-33) with the gospel of the grace of God (I Corinthians 15:1-4) and preaching a combo gospel.

I will stand before the Judgment Seat of Christ to be given rewards for sharing the gospel of the grace of God recorded in I Corinthians 15:1-4. The Judgment Seat of Christ is recorded in Romans 14:10, II Corinthians 5:10, I Corinthians 3:10-15.

Why aren't we supposed to marvel at the dead being raised? Doesn't "marvel" mean "be happy"? What if we know we're saved, and we also know the same about a dead loved one? What's wrong with being happy about that? Is that one of the biblical truths that only is because the Bible said so, or is there supposed to be some disease we get (besides that of going to Hell) that would make us physically die a split-second prior to judgement? The first thing my local preacher said after COVID started was that sin is the number one cause of disease. Despite the Bible not explicitly saying so, I can still see some truth in that. It's why MANY homosexuals can never again be immune to disease. That is one way to get AIDS

As a christian who's a police officer whose family had taken a sudden hostilility towards police where none had existed previously, I can attest that both social and traditional media have a conspiratorial agenda. The year 2020 only seemed to confirm my diagnosis.

Hello Don, just to let you know the earth is not a globe, we have an ice wall about us(boundaries for the water) and we have a firmament stretched out over all of the earth, so when Jesus comes back that’s how we will all see him, Genesis tells us how the earth is made once you see it you can’t unsee it may God bless/reveal to you the truth regarding how the earth is made 😊

vernajones9526, I believe as you do about the earth and that it is flat. We have sea level but there is no definition of sea curvature or how that is possible. Sadly, most churches preach of one judgement day when there are four future judgements. These are the Judgment Seat of Christ, Judgment of Israel in the Wilderness, Judgment of the Sheep and Goat Nations and The Great White Throne Judgment. The three future resurrections are The Rapture Resurrection, The First Resurrection and The Second Resurrection. Most churches combine the gospel of the kingdom (Luke 1:30-33) with the gospel of the grace of God (I Corinthians 15:1-4) and preach a combo gospel. Under the gospel of the grace of God we have the Ministry of Reconciliation. II Corinthians 5:18-21. Those under the gospel of the kingdom HAD the Great Commission. Mark 16:15-16. We must follow the command to rightly divide the word of truth. II Timothy 2:15.

I have a question please. Although I am a lifelong member of the COC, I am confused as to one particular aspect of judgement day for christians. If one's soul is found to be written in the Book of Life and this is indeed the determining factor as to whether you will inherit Heaven or not, what is the purpose of the two other books and giving our account to God on judgement day? Is this in relation to the giving of "gifts" or denial of "gifts" in any way, or am I totally off track in thinking along those lines? I guess my question goes back to "what is the purpose of giving our accounts before God if we are already saved? "

Sealust50, The Judgment Seat of Christ is the judgment for the "body of Christ." This is a judgement of rewards for our good works. I Corinthians 3:10-15. Those saved by believing the gospel of the grace of God (I Corinthians 15:1-4) are members of the body of Christ. After our belief of the gospel of the grace of God we are Spiritually baptized into the body of Christ. I Corinthians 12:13. We are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of redemption. Ephesians 1:13-14. We have been given the Ministry of Reconciliation to share the gospel of the grace of God. II Corinthians 5:18-21. Please share the gospel of the grace of God with your family and friends.

The Church was in the mind of God before the foundation of the world Revelation 13 vs 8 Ephesians 3 vs 1-11 that's why Hebrews 12 vs 22-23 only the church of the first born names are written in heaven. How can you be baptized right in a man made church which the Bible has no record of Matthew 15 vs 7-9 in vain they do worship me teaching for doctrine the commandments of men. Look at Acts 19 vs 1-5 they only knew Johns baptism they had to be baptized in the name of Jesus

Matthew 13:37 He answered and said unto them, He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; 38 The field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; 39 The enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. So, who sows the tares? Satan, the wicked one. Revelation 11:4 = ELOHIM (God of earth) Revelation 11:13 = EL (God of heaven) Genesis 1 = ELOHIM. Genesis 2:7 = EL. Call His name ImmanuEL, not ImmanuELOHIM. Is this Jesus' kingdom ?
