Did you read the instructions?

How many fathers have bought their children toys for their birthdays that came with the instructions, "Some assembly required." Then, how many of those same fathers, overconfident in their own construction abilities, refused to read those instructions, only to have the toy perform less than or not at all as it was designed to function. People often do the same thing with the Bible. Overconfident in their own spiritual understanding, many refuse to read the instructions detailed in God's word to their own eternal demise.
