@badm0t0rf1ng3r5 күн бұрын
Hey, the new GTX 325 looks like a helluva ski! And the color this year is fantastic! One of the few I'm absolutely ecstatic with for the 2025 lineup. I mean I bought this ski because I was so disappointed with the RXPX and RXTX color schemes for 2025. Plus that screen on the GTX limit is absolutely mint! I added the catch can because that should always been your first mod for a supercharger Seadoo, as they recirculate the oil back into the system normally. I dont want that stuff gunking up my ski! They are notorious for blow by! I swapped out the blowoff valve because I feel like the stock one is woefully inadequate for the ski. It was puny and kind of cheap feeling plastic. I want high quality stuff on my ski. I went with the fizzle intercooler tubing and the the turbo smart blowoff valve.

Hey so I just got these leafs and it raised my back end so much. Are you saying for it to sit the lowest (option 1) you want to take out the 6 leaf counting from the bottom and also 5 leaf as it comes from factory? Thanks in advance
@badm0t0rf1ng3r25 күн бұрын
@brucecampbell1838 so when you received them you should have had the full leaf pack and an extra add a leaf. The completed leaf as received is level 1. If you take apart and add the add a leaf above the 5th leaf that's option 3. If you replace the 5th leaf with the add a leaf that's option 2. If you're on option 1 and it still is too tall consider rpg extra length drop shackles. I believe they're 2 inch longer and should drop the truck 1 inch. I originally set mine at option 3, and it was far too tall. I'm talking 46+ inches at the same measurements spots. If you don't have a lot of weight it will be bouncier like an unloaded f250. It was terrible.
@brucecampbell183825 күн бұрын
@@badm0t0rf1ng3r granted I put 207k miles on my factory setup and I have only changed my rear suspension to fox 3.0 and icon multi leaf spring. I plan to do my fronts next month with fox 3.0 as well but my back end sits 48 inches of the ground to bottom of fender. I hope changing my fronts will change those measurements.
@badm0t0rf1ng3r25 күн бұрын
@@brucecampbell1838 I would expect the stock ones to be saggy especially with that many miles but 48+ inches from arch to ground if on option 1 is insane. It will break in a bit, especially as you cycle the rear shackle and seat the leafs. If you don't start coming down quickly I would pull them as that can mess up your pinion angle and fry your pinion bearing. Thats 2 to 5k fix depending on how much damage it does.
@badm0t0rf1ng3r25 күн бұрын

Need to get a RRP aluminum or carbon poles and the AST xlite OVP steering system. Makes a world of difference. And stick a spring in the pole bracket it saves your arms. Then I’d get a better race rideplate it will help out with stability and you will be able to take sharp carves wide open without the back sliding out. Then I would do air filter and full exhaust system and a waterbox and get that ECU flashed. That would be the best starting out setup. Then you could go line up and start racing buoys
@badm0t0rf1ng3rАй бұрын
I plan on keeping the stock handle pole for the time being; I did just place an order for a R&D rapid steering plate, to go along with the Riva 4 degree bars as mentioned in the video. I plan on getting the WCOT ride plate as well, though I have looked at the TBM and PWC ride plate. I will do an air filter eventually, but I'm in no rush right now. Literally the trailer I’m thinking of getting. I hear it’s a little higher loading than an Elite WC2 single axle. Any issues with it being higher??
@badm0t0rf1ng3r2 ай бұрын
Its a bit higher than the single axle (EC-2, I believe). Thats really not a problem but is also a bit dependent on the ramp. The ramp closest to me which I regularly use can get the bunks about 80 percent submerged without my tires touching water. The other ramp that I sometimes use is bit shallower of an angle so that larger vessels can use it, and I usually have my trucks tires just barely in the water. It rides VERY well and tracks like a dream. I ended up choosing this as the price difference was not enough to matter for me, and with my intentions taking the skis on road trips I felt like this was the easy choice. I was actually working on a longer walk around/review but I've been swamped lately. I'll try to push that in the next few weeks.

@John.blick313 I did not get brakes, may consider adding them in the future. Towed a larger and heavier boat on a double axle trailer that didn't have brakes and I just used tow haul mode in conjunction with my gear select without issue. Even with 2 full sized skis you shouldn't you should have any problems with a half ton truck like an F150.

Lookin great man! Love seeing the standups making a comeback. Looking to pick one of these up soon. How's the fuel consumption been? Can you ride all day on one tank? Or is she pretty thirsty every couple of hours? And how have the sponsons effected top speed at all? Keep it up!!
@badm0t0rf1ng3r2 ай бұрын
Fuel consumption is really good. I'm not sure about riding all day one one tank, but I think I ran this until the warning light came on and it was just over 3 and a half gallons to fill it after 4 or so hours on the water. Obviously running flat out for longer would increase your consumption. I ran on memorial day weekend for about 8 hours (on and off) and it wasn't until on the way back to the ramp that it low low. The sponsons are GREAT; they completely get rid of the side to side wobble that I did not like on my first ride. Does it scrub the top speed? I don't think so, however if it did scrub a mile or 2 that would be fine by me. I've hit top speed on this a few times and it scares me all the same.

I just bought my first stand up this summer, a 2017 SXR 1500. It sure has been a steep learning curve so far. Get rid of the factory sponsons and it will be a better machine. My machine has an WCOT intake and a TBM plate and pro water craft sponsons and it is way better then stock. But then again I have limited knowledge but is sure felt better for me so far. I want to try a different set of sponsons and a Jet Dynamics ride plate just because it is longer and I am a big dude. Edit: LoL at the 7 minute mark when you started falling off immediately and not getting on I laughed and said he is tired. I was there myself a few times.
