Normie still haven't learned what atonality and ambient is. Slayer is the most unique out of the Big Four. They created their own heavy sound that's meant to sound foreboding and scary. Having generic pentatonic solos like everyone else wouldn't fit. Nobody complaints when Korn use ugly chords and sloppy sounds for their music, so certainly Slayer earned their right to do that.

Bought these out of sheer curiosity, the stealth ones are okay due to their grip but that is literally it 😂 The rest are horrid to play with, all of them just get stuck in the strings

I found out how to Drop tune almost five years after I started playing. To be honest, I wish I found out about it earlier. Because, right when I first started playing, I wanted to start sweep picking when I didn't know how to use the Fretboard.

I'm not invested in the argument, but the dislike for Kirk Hammett is simple: many metal guitarists think they're as good or better and deserve(d) his spot or a shot at the big time. Such critics ignore Metallica's successful songwriting and performance chemistry. Some want Metallica to rotate guitarists like Megadeth, swapping out what they see as the "weak link" for a soloing hotshot who may not even contribute to songwriting or riffs. If you wanna swap out anyone in Metallica it should first be Lars but that's another story. Talk about a weak link.
