Thanks for the video. Your content is fabulously engaging and educational. I’m planning for a 2 PTZ camera setup for my church but am concerned about the single HDMI output of the ATEM Mini Pro. It seems essential to have multiview and program out (or at least “presentation out”) capability to monitor the video feeds and output the program or slideshow to a projector. Is there any way I could do this using adapters, splitters, or some other affordable addition to the ATEM Mini Pro? The Extreme, with 8 inputs, seems to be overkill but might be my only option. I love the extra USB-out, two HDMI outputs, and headphone jack, however.

At this price point, I'm very happy that 4K is taking over and I didn't purchase 1080p cameras. And the price is way cheaper than I ever dreamt. Very good video. What does this camera need that it docent have in your opinion?

What about ISO? ATEM has a ISO version, which records the camera switches, so in Resolve, you can 'see' the camera cuts you made... (still bit tricky to work with, but ok, for multicamera edits later on, it's a game changer). Also, the recordings on the harddrive / SSD attached, is that 4K (as in direct recording of all camera inputs... ATEM, is 1080p but does record everything through HDMI inputs, so all recordings are synced)

A good idea, a bad product. I had in test for almost a year now. No big updates, a lot of features were promised but never brought to life. For those who come from other"real" mixers would consider this a missed opportunity. Don't buy it. It's a waste of money unless you use it in a basic way. OSEE GOSTREAM that on paper has less features and no built in monitor is way more accomplished as a mixer and it's more and more updated.

Hi, can I ask you some questions about this switcher please? 1. What's the resolution of the UVC output from this switcher, is it 4K or just 1080p? 2. Can I stream to youtube directly from this switcher in 4K? If it can do, what's the max frame rate is it 30 or 60 fps? 3. Is the HDMI output supports 4K or just 1080p? I really appreciated if you can answer my question, thank you..

I wouldn't put the cameras on the left and right. It's only good for songs, when you switch between different people. If you have one preacher, switching from left to right looks bad. It's like this dialogue, but with yourself. It's better to put the cameras on one side of the center of the room. As if on one side of the line of dialogue between the preacher and the audience, even if it's not formally a dialogue

So in our services we don’t have drums, guitar players, bass players. We have a song leader congregational singing, a preacher at a pulpit, and a Power point presentation. Now can we get by with one camera? Going to split the video that goes to the projector that projects slides on the screen to go to eCamm live. Set up scenes for PowerPoint slide alone. Preacher alone. Preacher left smaller with power point right.

All true, I did shoot, for a political group, at a local church that rented out their facility. The church had a semi-massive Soundcraft mixer that was manned by a volunteer that was glued to his iPhone and did not want to be there. Luckily the mixer had multiple XLR outs for sub-groups, so getting a feed for my camera was simple. The Soundcraft mixer was so quiet at every stage, the audio did not suffer when the sound person gave me a lopsided "Unity Gain" feed where the mic channel pots were set wrong and the main outs were set wrong to compensate for the wrong levels on the mic channel pots. Had about 10 minutes to get my camera and audio set up before the event started, so basically no technical rehearsal.

@MikealHughes-vg1tb3 ай бұрын
Ok question in our sanctuary our video shot will be around 75 feet. What PTZ under $500.00 would you suggest? With NDI and auto track. Want to use ECamm. No bands, no plays. Just preaching with Keynote slides. Thinking about bringing a feed from what’s being sent from the Mac mini to our Panasonic projector into to eCamm. Some type of camera switcher capable of 4 inputs, 2 for now with expansion possible. The switcher would just switch the cameras the Keynote feed would go directly into eCamm live. The operator could setup scenes for preacher by himself full screen, Keynote feed alone full screen, a feed with camera left Keynote right on screen plus one flipped. The second camera would be for the Lords Supper. Shots. Now with a small church under 50 what equipment do you suggest. I will have the operator using a Stream Deck for scene switching in eCamm. I have eCamm working this way with our current recordings. SPH church on KZbin.

A PTZ with enough zoom for 75’ for under $500, honestly wouldn’t be worth the plastic it’s housed in. You can find a cheap one like that on Amazon I guess, I just don’t recommend it.

We’ve tried overlaying lyrics from pro presenter onto the video like you mentioned. Me and a guy that has worked with it for years tried and failed to get the transparency to work even when it’s enabled. It’s basically a black background on the video with the lyrics, instead of the lyrics itself. If you know a fix for this or have a video walkthrough then that’d be awesome!

Hello fellow Christian! 😊 I have the following setup, and I’m trying to figure out how to showcase my Mac’s screen-whether it’s a browser window, pictures, or movie clips-as an input source. I’m working on a three-camera podcast and would like to use the Program feed to display a movie clip or my browser as part of the podcast. The flow would look something like this: switch to Cam 1, then Cam 3 for a wide-angle shot, then maybe show a movie clip or browser window, and then back to Cam 2, and so on. Here’s my wiring setup: - The three cameras are connected to the ATEM via HDMI inputs 1, 2, and 3. - My HDMI output (1) is going into my Mac via a capture card before it plugs into the Mac. (This is used in combination with OBS in the event I would like to Live Stream, though for this setup, I’m only recording straight into my 4TB SSD drive via USB (A). -HDMI OUT (2) is going to a single monitor that shows the Program feed for all three participants to see. - USB (A) is connected to a 4TB SSD drive. - USB (B) is plugged back into the same Mac so the person doing the switching can see the multicam feed using OBS. What I’m trying to achieve is to be able to send my Mac’s monitor output so that all three podcast participants can see themselves being switched or, if we decide to pull up a news article or KZbin video from my Mac, we can display that as well. Thank you in advance, and take care!

Hi there... I may be missing something, but it sound like you've over-complicated the setup a bit. I would come HDMI output #2 from the ATEM to a monitor for multiview - the producer can use this to see all cameras at the same time. Output #1 goes to your talent monitor where all podcast participants can see. Then, one of the USB connections goes to the MAC, which can feed the program feed into OBS for the show. Your Mac should let you send an HDMI output to the ATEM just like a camera feed. Depending on which Mac model you have, you may need a dongle to give you an extra HDMI output - though you may have to use the dongle for the mac monitor and use the HDMI output to connect to the ATEM. Either way, the ATEM will see the MAC as just another camera and the Mac will see the ATEM as another external monitor - which you can either mirror or extend - I recommend extend so you can choose to show whatever you want on that monitor while still "working" on the main monitor. THen, you just switch back and forth - and if you want all the participants to see their camera feed, you can create a SuperSource will all of them on the same screen - then send that Supersource to HDMI Output #1 - which is connected to your confidence monitor. Hope that makes sense, but that' show I would do it. I wouldn't bring the ATEM into the Mac through USB AND HDMI -- that's wasting two connections on the same thing, basically.

@@ChurchSetup 1st of Thanks for the prompt response, I have a Mac Studio, so there are plenty of HDMI inputs to bring in any feed from the ATEM. let me go over your insights and circle back with my results. Blessing be Upon you and your family :)

@@ChurchSetup so after carefully going over your suggestions I did want to clear the following: - I only have 2 monitors, those being my Main 32" curved LG monitor plugged into my Mac Studio via USB-C and a Regular 17" AOC monitor plugged into my ATEM HDMI OUT 2. - I like to use my 17" AOC monitor pointing to my 3 guest so when ever the switcher man operator needs to bring up a News Article or YT video we can all see and talk about it. (Currently this is plugged into ATEM HDMI OUT 2) - ATEM HDMI OUT 1 is going from the Atem to my Mac Studio via the use a Capture Card that has an HDMI input on one end, and a USB-C on the other end, this I have plugged into my Mac Studio using a USB-C input. (this is key giving I don't have to use my Mac Studio HDMI Input in the back) - ATEM USB A: is being used by my 4TB SSD Drive - ATEM USB B: After reading you comment it seems I wont be using this and or otherwise as per your instructions. FYI: the Mac Studio has 1 HDMI input slot in the back. (this is empty and not being used) (Not sure if this is the one your referencing for me to use with a single HDMI cable and plug that straight into the Atem HDMI 4 slot. Thank you again. I'm getting close :)

Thanks for the review! This X1 Ultra sounds interesting… My church got a BirdDog P120 in 2022 that we weren’t as happy with as we would like (price paid for what we got- disappointed!). The image was decent and it didn’t have as much delayed frame rate as the old ones - one plus… but doesn’t outweigh the bad... It’s less responsive than the PTZ Optics Camera we’d had for 2 years, it flashes when you first change the preset, and the firmware update is atrocious (we are a Mac based system and had to borrow someone’s PC laptop to be able to update the firmware). WHY doesn’t BirdDog go more into the Mac space?
