1) Cameras & video mixer/receiver combinations with "12G-SDI" will support upto 4K60 & 8K30 when both are capable. 2) To capture more light at larger telephoto zoom it needs a larger lens (bigger lens means F stops are smaller numbers but more light, so less ISO/gain is needed). That's why the 30x is much larger. 3) This is a 1/1.8" type sized sensor vs many others using smaller 1/2.5" type. I'd love a budget 1" type sensor in a PTZ camera, with full integrated control using OBS or similar. 4) Video streaming with 4K 4:2:0 will look more like 2K 4:4:4, the compressed 2K 4:2:0 look more like 960x540 4:4:4 ie. forcing 4K & downsampling to 1080P at the viewer (eg. computer, phone, TV) can force it to use higher bitrates & show better images. If the viewer chooses 4K then YT may supply 2x the bandwidth as the 1080P feed (or whatever the YT policy decide). The per pixel noise is then smoothed with neighbouring pixel(s) so even a 4Kto2K camera can look better than 2K native if all else is equal.

What are your recomendations if I want to get these PTZ cameras to record each camera feed for post and retain 4k image for output to a projector? I'm having a hard time finding a switcher that ISO records 4k. Is there a way to record 4k from the NDI stream in a computer or is there a 4 channel 4k recorder that can take the 4 camera feeds via HDMI?

Thanks for the Video! PTZ is a new great way to go for Church events. You mentioned a 4k switcher, but can you run an hdmi cable from the camera to a 4k capture card as well?

Can the auto track feature be used with a ccu? And if not what would the result of software control and ccu be competing for the camera?

I always use SDI for security, As you know, the HDMI cable can be pulled accidently and you lose directly your signal. But with SDI, the cable is really locked into the camera,

Yes. PTZ manufacturers should come up with a snap-in security device for HDMI.

Im interested with the 30x PTZ camera (3rd Generation) NDi Hx , my question is this unit is Software Upgradable with Dante or i need to buy a different Ptz camera with Dante built in, let me know? your thoughts????

Hi there, I don't believe there is a software upgrade to Dante. The Dante AV-H™ video functionality is fairly new, but it requires a special model of camera. The only PTZOptics model to have a Dante version is the new Move-4K - and they are currently on backorder. Bolin makes a Dante version of the BirdDog cameras. You might check them out.

We have a larger universal mount that works, and we're waiting on PTZOptics to answer whether or not their current ceiling mounts will fit. It is quite a bit larger than previous generations I believe.
