Gods A millennium has passed since Lord Kain set his capital in the ruins of the Pillars of Nosgoth and began his conquest of the world. His first act was to recruit a cadre. Dipping into the underworld, Kain snared six souls and thus birthed his lieutenants, of which I; Raziel was one. We, in turn prowled the twilight of purgatory building six legions of vampires to pillage Nosgoth. The destruction of the major human Kingdoms was inevitable. Within a hundred years, humanity had been thoroughly domesticated. To be sure, there remained some feral humans scattered across the hinterlands, clinging to their hopeless holy war to rid Nosgoth of 'the vampire scourge'. They were tolerated. They made existence for the fledglings more challenging. After the taming of the humans, our real work began; shaping Nosgoth to our will. Slaves constructed about the Pillars a shrine worthy of our new age, worthy of our dark renaissance. Huge furnaces were constructed to belch smoke into the sky, shielding the land from the poisonous effects of the sun. Never had the world known such a time of beauty. However, we grew bored. We allowed the lesser vampires, the remains of the legions, their intrigues. They provided amusement and spice to an increasingly uninspiring court. As faction fell against faction we betted upon the outcome. We helped and foiled plots at our whim. We were the Council and Lord Kain, our only master.

Some of the instruments are too loud throwing off the overall balance of the score. The bass for example is drowning out the rest of the string section. Adjust the mix levels and subdue the background music to allow the focal instruments to come through more, and then you will have nailed this track. It is enjoyable nonetheless, it's just off putting due to hearing it so many times over the years played by the original orchestra. Great effort so far. I look forward to hearing more 😊

You can see Kain is not happy when throwing Raziel into the Abyss. Raziel, all that time, thought it was jealousy that got him this fate.

I miss this game and story so much. I wish someone would make an graphics updated one.

I remember Square-Enix owned this IP. They never did anything with it. It would have been a very good anime, at least. They sold it some time ago. We have never seen anything. It's rather sad and unfortunate.

If this were to be part of a movie and or anime, this is FAR better than I imagine it would be.

deberiam hacer un remake o soul reaver regresa...para nuevas generaciones seria bestial en graficas y jugabilidad. yo lo compraria inmediatamente. la banda sonora esta brutal. es excelente. recuerdos de un juego de aquella epoca de terror puzzles, aventura, rol. seria fantastico y perfecto una pelicula o series. hace falta conceder los derechos antes de que el que hizo esta joya de juego se muera y no se puedan remasterizar. alguien escucheme para que hagan este hermoso juego. millones de personas queremos de regreso esta leyenda de juego uno nuevo o remake. antes de que me haga viejito y me muera sin poder jugarlo en graficas modernas.

Word on the street is.... Kain is deified. Very nice composition, however this track would definitely be better accompanied by some vocal work, like classic latin, even adding g some of the scream like sounds the orginal had. Other than that I dont really have any idea how to add the otherworldly vibe without resorting so synths and maybe a lit more percussion to really make it feel intense.
