In a general context of a bis melee setup (and hybridding with melee), probably not outside of niche situations. Even though the ags has a slightly higher average damage than a dclaw spec, dclaws has 4 hits instead of the single hit of the ags. The multi-hit spec synergizes with better soulsplit healing, adrenaline refunds when used under a crit buff (like meteor strike), and you are more likely to get ice stacks to use on the new leng spec for damage. Adding onto this - when you gain an ice stack with the offhand leng equipped, it procs the frostblades buff which adds extra damage to hits for 9 seconds. Additionally, ags probably hit caps the 30k easily in berserk with t95 weapons, so there's significant damage lost to the hitcap, whereas claws has its damage more spread out in the smaller four hits. That would be even worse when pre-building with a dbaxe or just being at a boss that gives you an extra damage buff. In this specific encounter, with a much lower tier weapon, the ags spec can still hit a 30k in berserk when buffed with dbaxe (the hitcap loss is less severe). There is also much less benefit to multi-hit when locked to the hatchet mainhand - I cannot use meteor strike, and leng spec is inaccessible unless I eof a t85 leng mainhand (which would also be niche to use since I only have 2% chance to get a leng stack per hit with only an offhand t95 leng). So, I enjoyed playing with the ags spec, even if it likely won't really see usage in a regular encounter.

Yes, in a general context of style camp that sounds about right - which I do assume use of spells/prisms/ingen spells/incantations. I was just being a bit technical when it stated "only melee" which perhaps sounded more restrictive than usual.

Zemouregal's damage immunity is changed into a damage reduction once Vorkath breathes fire onto him, think it's initially 90% and goes down the further the fight goes

I haven't really looked at it in detail - I just assumed that after phase 3 starts with the Vorkath dragonbreath - his shield has significant damage reduction instead of Zemouregal being completely immune - allowing some chipping away at his hp. Zemouregal's shield temporarily drops every time Vorkath goes to fly away for his arena wide dragon breath, but after returning/getting shot down by the ballista, the shield comes back.

@@RS_PvM_A_75 I always take down Vorkath first before I usually target Zemouregal which was what surprised me.

This method is more of pre-beta changes where I think melee would probably take longer to defeat both Vorkath and Zemouregal in the time it takes for Vorkath to fly a second time - so a "2-cycle" flight where bursting down Zemouregal with berserk in the short shield-less windows would be potentially faster. It was just fun to revisit the strategy. Post-beta changes, I'm not sure - it might be plausible to beat em both faster with the hit cap raises (would need to come back to it at another time - I didn't even swap an undead slayer perk back onto my armor for these attempts)

Whenever I do simple non-crit buff rotations, I find myself enjoying the jas book for melee just because it's a much more budget option. I haven't really done identical rotations with grim vs. jas book in recent comparison, so I don't think I can say for certain which one is "better" for simpler rotations. When I test with grimoire - I usually want to try crit buffs in the rotation (such as meteor strike) for getting a lot of extra adrenaline gain - and the rotation becomes more dynamic with how many crits you get. Anecdotally, without using crit buffs, I find them similar in performance even if jas book is quite random when it goes off (damage may get eaten by a phase transition/immune phase). Jas book can also have its super fun moments if the procs are very lucky such as in this run. Leng camp is probably just fine since you likely get more stacks to use the leng spec during the pool skip, with the downside of less consistent adren gain from the scourge/jaws helm switching combo without a bleed rotation going & champion's ring needs a bleed to work for its critical strike benefits (luck to get the bleed from the abyssal armor spikes).

In this run, yes, enhanced devoted procced on the 2nd melee, but I am also channeling the shield dome spell at the 4th typeless hit which is a 50% dmg reduction for the channel duration - it can be seen at the front of my buff bar. (Usually I just eat up a bit more with solids/brews to have enough hp before shield doming to tank the last hits, but I forgot to unpack the primal feast after using up my soups to be high hp after the demon) I would generally expect the 2nd melee is going to hit somewhere around a 3.5k through shield dome, immortality, melee deflect prayer, hellhound familiar, death ward relic, and spirit shield with the edict order that I did. With 5k hp left, I think it would have tanked it just fine even without the enhanced devo proc.

I kill the rune adjacent to the last rune as an extra safety measure because the runes in solo only have 12.5k hp after the recent changes to phase 7 - a berserk buffed greater barge with lengs equipped can likely one shot it (unintentionally). Killing any rune will cause it to re-spawn at a higher hp (30k hp cap at high enough enrage). So, I just played it safe and popped that stick rune so that there's pretty much no chance that greater barge can kill it. I make sure to have disruption shield up before attempting to lower any rune hp. Resonance was just stacked on for the rune kill damage to hit even less. Then, disruption shield needs be reapplied before attempting the 2nd cycle as it is used to block most of the melee hit. Note: it is probably fine to skip killing the adjacent rune when I am also doing the following: Equipping the dragon battleaxe and un-equipping the offhand leng for clearing aftershock stacks on the way to the runes. Barging with only a dragon main-hand equipped is probably just unable to hit 12.5k on a maximum damage roll with current damage buffs. (may need to check the math on that to be certain)

Honestly I think I was just taking a breather for a bit, as well as seeing if I was going to adjust my rotation a bit since it was a front-rune and pre-barging zamorak is an option (rotation changes a bit as bleeding rune happens after). I do not use this edict order at 1K enrage, so this is basically the only time I have tested it out. Edict 6 with 6 stacks in p7 makes your healing like 40% effective, so I kinda was seeing if I was maintaining my hp or not with soulsplit on and/or how fast the infernus damage would lower me with melee prayer on. I was a bit paranoid after what happened in a previous failed run: For context, this kill is the 2nd time I've ever been in the 4K p7 with all buffs like kalg familiar, sign of death, and dragon battleaxe. So I did need to think about the extra steps before proceeding. In the previous failed attempt, my hp dropped off so much from the recoil from blood tendrils during the ek-zekkil prebuild that I actually died to the melee slam mid rotation due to being very low hp and unable to heal back up with brews and no hard food. So I was like contemplating if I need to start at a higher hitpoint and let it drop off below 60% or if I need to fit devotion in (I was only trying to disruption shield previously). I did end up using devotion for safety. Even with that thought, I mixed up what I needed to do for the actual rotation (as stated in the description).
