Thanks for that great idea! I will make them for my 14 year old baby. She’s lost some weight and is always walking wobbly. I get her all the supplements as needed plus she has a prescription food by her vet. I feel that the protein and ingredients in this will help her. Since my baby has lost her eyesight and don’t hear, food is something she still loves. She’s a vacuum!!! My puppiiis ❤

I never season mine and my dogs love it. If you put the chicken in the freezer for an hour or so it's easier to cut into even slices.My vet says pepper is bad for dogs

Honestly, I've got a snuffle mat, but most days, I just grab a blanket, scatter kibble all over it, fold it up, scatter more, and then fold it up again. Then it's game time for my pup as she digs through the folds to uncover her treasures. It's a blast and takes her around 20-30minutes. :)

What a great money-saving idea! I made my own version after watching your video yesterday. The plastic sink mat was a genius idea although the one I used had sizeable holes so instead of fleece I used my son’s old (but clean!) multicoloured t-shirt scraps instead. This is so great. Thank you so much for sharing these. One issue I have faced with a snuffle mat is she keeps chewing the strips off. Mine is a 6mo golden. I am guessing it will get better when she grows up. But any suggestions how to use a snuffle mat with a puppy who is still in the chewing stage?

I have something like the carrot puzzle for my dog. But instead of carrots, mushrooms are used instead. One of the mushrooms u can stuff treats in it and close the mushroom with Velcro and the dogs has to figure out how to get it out. It’s very hard to get it out since she doesn’t have fingers. But her fav puzzle is the hide and slide puzzle. She always gets excited when I ask her if she wants to play with her puzzle and she runs to it and waits for me to fill it with treats. She knows the word puzzle but doesn’t know the word sit. When I tell her to sit she actually lays down and never sits.

It's also good to have betadine, activated charcoal, manuka honey and a basket muzzle.. Betadine cleans wounds, activated charcoal will help them a lot if they eat something toxic until you can get to the vet, manuka honey is good to put on wounds, and when dogs are hurt they can become aggressive so a muzzle is good. I recommend basket muzzles because they can still open their mouth, drink and pant. I don't like raisins and I bought trail mix that had them in it, so I was picking them all out one night... I dropped a few on the ground without knowing, and my dog started vomiting a lot. I knew that raisins and grapes are HIGHLY toxic to dogs so I called my emergency vet to let them know I was on my way, they are about 45 minutes away. I was prepared for the situation and I had activated charcoal on hand since I watch a lot of vet TV shows, the vet told me to mix it up and give it to my dog. He vomited about 4 or 5 times on the way to the vet and when we got there they kept him for a few hours, gave him more charcoal and monitored him. Since he vomited so much and was getting better, they told us that it was safe to bring him back home. He is also a very large dog, poisonous things don't harm larger dogs as much as smaller dogs. I'm so glad I had the charcoal on hand!

If strips are 8 inches long you would need so about 40 inches of fabric that is 60 inches wide, total. So depending on how many colors. You decide. This is if you use a mat that is 12x12. I would always get more fabric than needed.
