I adore Luma Island, and it made my top 10 chill games list for 2024, but it's more of a very relaxing open world exploring and puzzle solving game with some crafting than a survival game, so I didn't include it in this list. But it's an awesome cozy game for sure! ☺

What a great video! I'm currently obsessed with Enshrouded. I almost abandoned it, but once I discovered how you could really turn down the difficulty, it breathed new life into it for me. I wanted to like No Man's Sky but the ship mechanics (navigating, flying, etc...) just seemed like too much of a chore for me.
@BuckeyeBunny2 күн бұрын
I've seen you on Steam playing Enshrouded quite a bit. 🤭 I didn't know they added difficulty settings either since I began the game soon after launch. I need to get back into it as well. I download NMS again but haven't gotten the courage to start back in; I have to be in the right mindset and ready to do a lot of thinking (most of the time, my brain's too tired for that). 😆

I apologize for omitting the temps. I'll have to play around with the overlays a bit more (I'm obviously not a tech reviewer, lol). The devs have since made more game improvements so it stutters less for me now, but that's disheartening to hear the game's performance for you. ☻

@@BuckeyeBunny It is one of my favorite Survival games and it has little to do with the Zomboids, its one the more detailed ui I played with but that said the learning curve is steep. Like I can't cut up some meat unless I have a knife, the mod community is great, and if you want to just go rob some houses for supplies and drive a car around there is sliders that can make that happen. If not someone has moded it to do so.

I was watching another person play this game and he had the same issue of opening up chests and putting food in a feeding trough. I did google the questions a bit and read comments under his video in KZbin. one commenter said the trough and chest are where your pets drop their goodies around. So I suppose if you want a specific area for goodies to be dropped so you don't have to search for them, you can build a chest to place. And I guess a feeding trough is the same way as well. Not sure what other items act in this manner. Perhaps as you advance in the game, only specific items your pets will drop their goodies around? I'm just guessing right now.

I like the cartooney feature of the game. Yeah, I know, I'm 54 and still like cartoons. I prefer to say I like animations. I need to see if the game is compatible with MacBook. Most games aren't. All I have at the moment is Mac. I am commenting before watching, so if you happen to mention the systems it is compatible with, well, oops. LOL!! just from watching for a minute or so, this looks like a fun game. I grew up for the most part gaming. I was 8 years old when agri 2600 came out in 1978. I have been gaming ever since, getting the next console when it came out. I switched to pc gaming around 15 years ago. I don't play as much as I used to, but still like to play a couple times a week these days a week as time. permits.

The Steam page does show that it works on a Mac, but you'd want to look at the requirements. I'm not at all familiar with the Mac system, I'm sorry. ☹️ store.steampowered.com/app/2399570/Skystead_Ranch/ I love cartoons too! Maybe we could call them "animated films" to sound more sophisticated. 🤭

This is a fantastic video! I share a lot in common with you Bunny. I am getting older and I have found my preferences for more dumbed down combat overtaking my game choices. I have 1300 hrs in Enshrouded that has recently added difficulty adjustment. I finished the release content on default but the inclusion of the difficulty settings has helped me stay in the game, creating various bases and even complete villages. I like the fact that you can adjust the Bosses and normal enemies separately. I have never been a fan of "bullet sponge" boss fights. Anyway, thank you so much for this video. I have quite a few of these games already, but this video has now made my wish list even bigger. 👍

I was pleasantly surprised to see Vintage Story on your list! I've been playing it for a whiles now on the side, along with a few other games I enjoy. I can totally understand the turnoffs of it tho -- it has a very steep learning curve if you want to get deep into the survival mechanics. But once you've got things worked out, it's a fun challenge to play! It also has settings for peaceful and full creative play if you want a more chill or creative experience.
@BuckeyeBunny4 күн бұрын
Honestly, I had zero clue Vintage Story even existed until a few weeks ago when I happened upon a recommendation on Reddit and bought the game. If it had cloud save and controller support, I could have lived with the graphics, lol. ☺ But your assessment of the learning curve and challenge being alluring is something I heard often of lovers of Vintage Story. I'm happy to share it with others...being absent from Steam has made it tough to find.
