Hi Peyton. I have a question. How do get surface cross sections in Leica Captivate from a Corridor Surface? I have a corridor surface (Datum) in Civil 3D but I don´t know how to show it in the Section View of the Leica Captivate. I also have and alignment. Thanks in advance.

Why not just export the whole DBX file to be imported by the collector.

Hello Can you tell me how to figure out the offset of the line I mean what the offset with "-" mean and what the offset with "+" mean I never figured it out I always try it on each direction shows me 0 but I never know from the start only by looking at the - + offset 😅

Hello Peyton, Thanks for putting these videos together. I'm trying to export a csv file from Infinity. I brought in grid and transformed to ground. I toggle to and from each by bottom right toggle. Tried several times to export while in ground election but keeps returning grid. Can you please explain how to create a csv of your selected data? Your help would be appreciated. Thank You! Paul

Thanks for the nice & simple walk through. I am running an older version of Infinity, 2.3.2. Under "New Project" there is no "Project Templates" title section. Is this located somewhere else within that version of Infinity? Looks like I didn't even have the option to save as a template...

Hi Peyton, thanks for the video. Question. We have a work laptop for out in the field that we want to use this download option however the laptop does not have a ethernet port. Do you know if using two adaptors on both ends will work? I.e USB-C Ethernet adaptor plugged into lap top > Ethernet Cable in the middle > USB-C Ethernet adaptor plugged into iPad. Thanks

It would be really good if you had some points recorded, say either side of the road to assess the accuracey of the point cloud captured. It would be just out of interest though because to generate a surface, this process would appear be fit for purpose, nice one!

Is it possible to do this method with multiple scale factors? For example if multiple gnss set control along 4000’ horizontal run but with a 1500’ elevation change end to end. My concern being the elevation factor causes the combined sf to be substantially different from end to end. It’s almost like I would want to do this multiple times for each set of similar elevation control pairs/triplets along the run (think ski chairlift that I want to stake in ground but set control with gnss). Love your videos.

Hi Peyton. I do not own a blk360, but is there a way to get the scans off the blk360 directly, or do you HAVE to use the ipad? Are there ever any issues with scans getting corrupted over the wifi connection from the blk360 to the ipad? I guess you just try again if that happens. And lastly, I have read a lot of negative reviews of the blk360, mainly because its people comparing it to a beast lidar scanner like a FARO , but in your opinion, do you like the blk360? I intent to use it to scan single family homes mostly. Thanks!
