Editing stationing of a line in Leica Captivate

Hello Can you tell me how to figure out the offset of the line I mean what the offset with "-" mean and what the offset with "+" mean I never figured it out I always try it on each direction shows me 0 but I never know from the start only by looking at the - + offset 😅

Depends on the direction of the Line. + is to the right - is to the left
