Thought I'd finally share my method for buried supplies: Pick any 'side': North for example. Wiggle around to line up the blinking chest icon with the "S" on your compass. Dig the top line of topsoil from the north edge to the south. Usually the perimeter will shrink at least once. Continue digging a trench to the rock layer within this line. Once the trench is complete, pop back out and note where the center of the shrunken perimeter is. You can usually dig straight down in the center of that (id say 9 out of 10 times) and find the supplies, I prefer usually to pop down into the trench again and dig into it from the side though for the little bit of extra clay and extra spawns on higher tiers. ~J~

I first started watching you with the original vanguard series, so appropriate to name this series after it. Love your content. As for myself, I was disappointed with my first foray into 1.0. Turns out they messed with the controller and made it horrendous to use. Of course I'll try again but it is frustrating when you can't move around and access things properly.

preacher gloves should be nerfed to at least half , doing more dmg to zombies with anything kinda negates the existance of the other dmg type gloves like melee/ranged weapons/revolvers also The Ranger gloves must be turned into any pistol and any sniper rifle The farmer gloves must be changed to Shotgun dmg (why this got forgoten as a weapon? also the theme fits beter) The comando increased ranged weapons must be turned into Machingun damage The Assasin gloves must be changed to knife and bow damage The Rogue set must be reworked on explosions/traps themed sets some examples :get exp from trap kills or more explosive damage/range (we already have the assasin set that fits the same theme and rogues helmet must be put into scavengers helmet as its a very good theme i mean more exp from salvages? like come one Thats some of my basic thoughts on making a bit inetrasting these, there are many more things that needs to be made more interasting and usfull but these are some of the first things that came to my mind as of to have them always on you depending of what you are playing

Kind of a weak update, so they basically tweaked the recipes,loot,traders,progression xml's, reused the repair kit icon for armors (lazy) removed pants for some reason (lazy) added some new voice lines, Updated the whole character model plus vehicle's which is kinda cool but doesn't add to game play but at least the new animations are better on the character. No new usable tools, weapons or functionality. No new traps, electrical items. No new animals/zombies. meh i get into the game and its the just the same old 7 days to die with basically the loot set low and the zombie health higher. The updates doesn't add anything exciting to see,build, or fight. This update coulda just been a A21.5 update honestly. I rate it at 3/10

sadly the primitive armor has zero crit resistance, so it's very easy to gain afflictions with it. best to swap to a better armor set as fast as you can.

Drive-thru liquor stores are in Arizona, relevant since Navazgane is theoretically in AZ. I've seen a few people talk about selling the sniper books lately, but I think that's still the key to being able to bulk craft 7.62, if you never plan to use machine guns or rifles I guess that makes sense but I don't see too many play throughs where at some point you don't wish for bulk crafting 7.62 and trying to find all the sniper books is usually the hold up. I haven't fisnished watching the video yet though so perhaps you reconsider...

The metal round stool chairs can be picked up and scrapped for 5 pieces of FORGED iron (they're actually quite common but easy to miss) Forged iron or forged copper is used to craft hatches (there is an alternative for hatches that requires wood and nails I think.. it has 1000 hitpoints)

not sure how I personally feel about the armor dumbing down but still very cool idea with the set bonus's. gives a much more RPG feel

I normally start with Miner69er as you can easy get 40%damage boost with axes and pickaxes. You start off rough as you cannot do heavy attacks with the stone axe, but I took out 5 soldiers at level 10 with relative ease with a grade 5 stone axe. No parkour needed. Just smart thinking. Wood blocks and shutters are your friends. You get a massive damage boost once you can buy or make iron axe. I normally send Zombies flying with the steel Axe and get a lot of heads flying. Miner69 makes you use much less stamina and that is the real win!

So I got on today to explore beta 1.0. Early game I came across a tree house P.0.I. just as a small wondering horde came by. With a lvl 1 wooden club in hand and a bone knife for bleed I took a stand in thar tree house thinking I have an advantage over the zombies climbing up ladder to get to me. Sadly, but at lass I trapped myself with no way out as the horde pushed their filthy undead hands, bodies, and endless hunger into me. I cried out to no one “I thought I was safe up here” in a pathetically whiny yet Joker sort of laughter as I died. I had a small laugh as I respawned back into the world determined to reclaim my loss goods. Very much enjoying all the additions in 1.0 7 days to die. I am also very happy to see what story you tell in these awesome professionally done videos you post here on KZbin.

I cannot complete the "Harvesting challenge" last 3 challenges. Gather mechanical and electrical parts, and gather forged steel. Says its to be done with a wrench which I have. I track the challenge and wrench cars like it says but its not showing no matter how I obtain the parts. I assume its a bug, anyone else having issues completing Challenges? Every other challenges I have completed with out any issues, its just those last 3 in harvesting...grr

We have some drive thru liquor stores in Kansas. More shocking, they allowed some fast food places to start selling by the drink liquor out of the drive thru window during covid. How could it possibly go wrong?
