Witcher 4 is back in it's roots. The actual monsters are not always who they seem to be in the first place. "There are no Gods here, there are only monsters."

I'm watching this cinematic again while reading "the Last Wish" book for the first time, and gosh, I can't believe how FAITHFUL this is to what I'm reading right now, almost word for word, cheers to the CDProjectRED team You can tell they have a lot of love for The Witcher book, at the time I loved this game, and now, reading the book for the first time after having played the trilogy, it brings back old memories and the emotion I felt when i played for the first time. 🥲

I've literaly just read this chapter on the book and came to watch this (yes, I played the games before reading the books) and it's amazing how accurate they made this cinematic
@ThePreciseClimber Жыл бұрын
It's proof that, in this case, they really should've just stuck with loyally adapting the source material, especially when it comes to the first 2 books with short stories. One short story per episode. It could've been great.
@thiagooliveira6988 Жыл бұрын
@@ThePreciseClimber Exactly. And some segments of Geralt and Nenneke at The Temple of Melitele at the beginning of some episodes in the first season. It could've been better in so many ways.

That feeling when opening cinematic of a 15 year old game is more loyal to the books than the whole netflix series

Facts! Despite the fact that the games take place after the events of the books and are their own story, they manage to keep the spirit of the books. And not through cheap callbacks and references either. They understand the feel and the message of the books and build on them. Netflix does the opposite, they take some of the better known sequences, modify them and put them on top of their own propaganda. It's disgusting and despicable. I would love to see a Japanese anime of the witcher, by a person who appreciates the books. When I'm reading the books I can tell that the story would be perfect for anime adaptation. It would be the perfect platform to include the multiple characters' views and the complicated timeline with the flashbacks and flashforwards. I'd gladly dedicate my life to this vision if I had the talent and the resources.

1:58 After playing Witcher 3, the fact that Geralt didn't break his legs and instantly die after that fall is truly mind-breaking to me
@randomdude2026 Жыл бұрын
Well. In the books Geralt got his legs hurt pretty badly at some point. This fight however happened befire that. So you COULD argue that W3 just wanted to show that the legs are Geralt's weak point now ^^

here he looks closer to the books i think . he was described as kinda on ugly side , pale , slim , full of scars . in witcher 3 they made him look like this gigachad =) . tbh thats the reason why i also think henry cavill wasnt good for the role - too young and too chad :D
