I don't know if I should love or hate the zebra mussels but, the water clarity is incredible !

Is the recite also a gravesite like the Edmund Fitzgerald and were any bodies ever recovered?
@tuxedotservo27 күн бұрын
I'm not sure break is the right word. They think the area under the weather deck midships just fell out. The weather deck and a bit of the hull underneath is all that held the two pieces together as she sank, thus the huge sag in the middle.

"Coffin" Ships they're called. Think alot of the Sinkings were due to Corporate greed,and pushing the Limits of Maintaining something in a constant need of Maintaining. 😊

My wife and I just toured the Delaware Mine two days ago, during the tour the operators mentioned your video. It's so cool to see what the rest of the mine looks like. Your video of this great piece of Michigan history is so interesting. Thanks for taking the time to share it with us. I know nothing about diving, but I think diving in a flooded mine would be one of the more dangerous things you could do, I'm amazed by your accomplishment.

this video is great. I am building a model of the carl D's engine room out of cardboard for a KZbin video and this is helpful in helping me figure out how to make the model.

The story behind this is insane, I watched the one by maritime horrors, you should too, it gives even more respect for the ones who died on the ship on sentiment for just how much of the ship is there and bent up

It was nice to see what the shafts looked like now years later and slowly filled up with water and preserve them for now. But my Imagination runs wild to think of the day when the men were in there working. It would have been nice to be there then to get a firsthand look at the work that had been done. I give credit to everybody who made this video exploration possible. I myself would have loved to have been on the dive team.

RIP to all those souls who perished on this ship. And I take off my hat to sailors everywhere who work on these ships to provide us with what we need, and to keep businesses in business. It's so heartbreaking to see these wrecks and interesting at the same time.

I saw a story of the Daniel J. Morrell on another video. It was very heart breaking to see. My condolences to the families of those who lost their loved ones. I can't begin to know but being a sole survivor would be like. Knowing myself, I would more than likely feel very guilty for making it when the others did not. Really good footage of this ship.

Sad that you had to put that really annoying music in this. Part of the magic is hearing the diver breath the bubbles going out. Kinda disappointed.

Some say the Cedarville is haunted. I had a good friend go down to the Cedarville a few years ago who thought he saw a black figure out of the corner of his eye and soon after his diving equipment went haywire. The Cedarville collided with a merchant vessel and rolled onto its starboard side in 1965. Eight men drowned and two succumbed to the icy waters of lake Huron.

It is amazing that after almost 50 years ago when this video was made that were the hull not broken in two, the ship is in such a state of preservation, especially the engine room, that she looks like she could be raised, cleaned up, given a new coat of paint and she'd be ready to sail again.

That’s what happens when rivits pop off like gun shots and you just keep on sailing, if the wheels fell off my car and I kept on driving I’m sure something would happen? When are people gonna learn…no we just watch memorial videos but no one does a god damn thing to stop this shit
