I am a feverish collector of Jules Verne works and although I own the books which appear in the Barnes & Noble collection I had to get theirs as well. This is mostly because of their cover design which stays loyal to the original French covers overall design (by Hetzel or Agora): red background, the air-balloon, the globe map, submarine and other motifs and themes that Verne got famous for worldwide. It's a pity though that B&N haven't published any Jules Verne edition that consist of any of the beautiful drawings from the original for that would have made it a perfect immersion into the realm of Verne.

How do I know how much these are worth now? I don’t want to get ripped off on eBay

I hear a lot.of.negative stuff about these editions but I kinda want all of them just because they look so good. But their prices aren't that different from the cheaper folio society ones. I think the first one I'll get is the Arabian nights one as it's available where I live for 15 euro. And I have fond memories of reading that book after I got it from the CHILDREN'S section at our local library. After finishing it I brought it back told the librarian lady this wasn't a book meant for kids. She laughed and asked "aww was it scary"... I just stared at her for a few seconds and said "no.. you should read it". And she laughed it off even joked about it with the lady behind me. Homie 1001 Arabian nights is straightup porn, also SUPER racist by our standards.. and sexist af lol. Man I love that book.. Only I think it was you video that showed the B&N Arabian nights was super delicate with the cover giving off its colour etc. That kinda worries me.

Carrie is one of the only ones that's rare to get.. his first printings were HUGE for most of his career.. but still awesome to get all these!

In what order are you suppose to read them? Because it doesn't match with the release dates of the movies. But I think books > movies

well I guess my copy of the Shining is not a first edition unfortunately I was told it was when I bought it. It looks exactly the same in every way but is missing at the bottom on the copyright page First Edition in yours

You have all the original ian fleming novels and shorts but none others like goldeneye or the recent ones from horowitz but fleming canon keeps it good and simple

I have about 250 Stephen King hard covers. Most of which are 1st. editions. I have 3rd editions of Salems lot and Different Seasons ( one Different Seasons Autographed).

I have all but “Game of thrones” in 1st Edition. That one is the 1996 book club edition. Update: I got the 1st edition of a “game of thrones”.

I think what you've got is better than the deluxe GAME OF THRONES collections.

You do realize that they are all' faux leather', i.e fake, plastic in this case, they are all printed in China.

Sadly, B&N does not use real leather.

Been scavenging my local thrift store on and off for hte past 6 months or so. So far I have managed to collect first editions of: - A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms ($3) - Fire and Blood ($5) - ACOK, ASOS, AFFC, and ADWD (all for under $20) - Several books in the Wheel of Time series, along with the world of a wheel of time (I managed to find the entire series, just not all first editions yet). Also found an unused box set of 75th anniversary edition of Hobbit + LOTR ($5)

After A Song of Ice and Fire move onto the Saxon Chronicles aka (The Last Kingdom on Netflix)... sooooo good.

Octopussy and the Living Daylights isn’t one title, it’s two. For two of the short stories contained therein. For Your Eyes Only is also a collection. Afraid that buying Quantum of Solace is duplicating titles you already own.

This is the only exposure to Bond that I’ve ever had. I’m so glad I never watched those silly ridiculous movies. Most people go into reading these expecting some sort of oversexed Inspector Gadget. 🙄

How is the font of the Stephen King collection? It doesn’t seem big enough to hold 3 books in my opinion given that the paperback version of The Shining that I have is over 600 pages. I’m just curious 🙂
