I'm an Ethiopian millennial, born and raised in Europe. This is such a great insight, sis. We've adopted this exact American culture in Europe among Black people and the African diaspora as well, and it's a shame because people are mentally suffering and really lonely. No one is really like that in reality-,TikTok, nstagram, documenting vacations for others to see instead of living in the present, hookup culture, wasting money, chasing short-term gratification without prioritizing long-term goals. I quit Instagram 11 days ago and have seen it as a detox, a cleanse from all the madness, hypersexualization, DM'ing girls, and lusting. This video made me realize it should probably be permanent. I want to move on with my life, create a family, and focus on quality pursuits instead of wasting time online and in clubs, playing some alter ego character. Stay blessed, God is risen ☦✝
