What an offensive trivialisation of this great song dedicated to the Belgian Guitar Genius Django reinhardt, and composed soon after his death by the great John Lewis of the Modern Jazz Quartet. This person Aaron Diehl is a player whose improvisation is based entirely on cliches drawn from cartoon films and popular music of monotone and peurile quality. He should try getting a job as a brick layer, and stop tripping his ego on a badly informed public, in that way he may serve society better.

I linked to this in a blog I wrote back in 2012. Just got rereading the blog and took the link here today. Wonder if 9 years from now, I'll come back on here and say the same thing.
